Monograph is a bi-annual participative and independent publication, who’s only ambition is to bring an assured voice to electronic music from every culture and horizon. An editorial project, what we have here is a a genuine laboratory, between chatting and unraveling, a place of meeting and intertwining with the same passion for the musical being.

It is a platform which has no limits but one direction.

➔ For each number there is a proposition dedicated to a subject in which the contributions will be written or visual. It is a collaborative dynamic, Monograph desires to celebrate an emulation between actors and spectators of future and past evolving in a constant motion. It is around a collaborative subject that we gather in a common editorial creation between, young musicians, confirmed artists, amateurs, journalists, promoters and spectators. The choice of paper as a means of support is far from random, we truly wish to get out of the « all digital » times convention, who’s content is frequently indigestible because too consequent, turning it into a competition for the freshest news; not caring much for the context nor the impact that music represents in our societies.

➔ For that, each number will be edited in paper format; following that it will be edited online for free. Anyone can pitch in, thus for each number a call to participation will come define and explain the main line that will be carrying the magazine. Therefore, if you feel like you have the soul of a sound adventurer, then you are in the right place.

The first issue is dedicated to the black ideal, a very talkative subject. We already have at our sides Regis, Ancient Methods and Emptyset as well as many other artists, writers and talented journalists.

➔ This first issue of 84 pages will be edited to 300 copies. Monograph is looking to be an elegant and solid editorial project, in order to be that we wish to dress it with a binding and will opt for a quality technical printing, called Risograph print. Monograph is a paper object, destined to be enriched by the different actors and places that each issue will lead it to, and will constitute a launch in Paris in the month of January. Furthermore, the project will be proposed as a book combining text and images, in various forms. This will be both in English and French, and we hope to distribute a few copies in London, Brussels and Berlin, not to mention Paris.

➔ This is a call for participation, if the project interests you and you wish to take part in this adventure you have until the month of december to send us your contributions. A first selection of your propositions will be visible during the time of the production of the layout, on a platform relayed to our website. A second definitive selection will establish a link between the different responses creating an editorial object.

➔ We will also edit a vinyl format compilation in close relation with the content of the first issue — limited to 500 prints and have original content by Ancient Methods, AnD, Saåad, Svreca and Young Hunting amongst others.
