Mes couleurs - 1er album de Pamela Badjogo

<p> After singing as a chorister with the great artists like Salif Keita, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Oumou Sangaré, Cheick Tidiane Seck ..., Pamela Badjogo starts a solo career releasing her first album <strong><em>Mes couleurs</em></strong> plunging us into Afro-jazz vibes mixing sounds of Mali to rhythms of her native Gabon. <strong>Bubbly and energetic, Pamela has one desire : to share on the stage </strong><strong>this new album</strong><strong> with you.</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Mvi_2246-007-1432070191" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/200207/MVI_2246-007-1432070191.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> Pamela has matured this project for long time over her various collaborations in the studio and on stage with artists from various style. <strong>To realize this album, she collaborated with Manjul,</strong> rasta musician, arranger and sound engineer she works for many years with. For Pamela, Manjul is a real big brother, a guide who has the power to reach what the artist has deep inside herself.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Img_6239-1432069994" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/200201/IMG_6239-1432069994.JPG"></p> <p>  </p> <p> Along the pieces, the artist juggles from one language to another singing sometimes in French and sometimes in English before driving us to Gabon, performing in her native language (Bakaningi) a lullaby written by his mother. <strong><em>Mes couleurs </em>is the opportunity to give us, with great emotion, a real life testimony revealing the richness of her meetings and influences.</strong> Adopted by Mali, she could not conclude without paying tribute to Mali with <em>Initié </em>in which one find the traditional violin player (Soku) Zoumana Tereta and singer Babani Koné as special guests. Mali is invited along this opus including in afrobeat piece <em>Bamakool</em> where she is joined by Malian singer Mariam Koné.  </p> <p>  </p> <p> The first part of the recording was made with Manjul. Four titles were born at the crossroads of A<strong>fro-jazz and soul </strong>where Pamela thrilled us with her voice grave and warm. Pamela wrote and composed the following titles with the musicians of her group : Legré on drums, Sekou Bah on bass, Scotty on piano and Molobally on Djembe during of a workshop at the French Institute of Mali in February 2015.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Img_6110-1432070251" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/200209/IMG_6110-1432070251.JPG"></p> <p>  </p> <p> The musicians have just finished recording the 11 tracks of the album in the studio Humble Ark Manjul in Bamako.   The first part of the recording was produced with personal funds.
