Hello friends, this website is made to help artists raise enough money to get their music on the road and their albums out. I am trying hard to continue making music. I have some good albums inside me.  I write them as I walk through your towns. I just don’t have a huge record company with tons of money behind me (never have). Most of what I do I do myself. Né à Hawaï, une jeunesse passée à surfer, à la tête du groupe Chokebore dans les années 90s devenu culte le jour où Kurt Cobain leur a demandé d'ouvrir pour les concerts de Nirvana, Troy Von Balthazar a choisi une étrange vie de vagabond, entre LA, Berlin et Paris, toute entière dédiée à son art.

Après un premier album solo éponyme, composé en partie sur la guitare de Leonard Cohen qui l'avait hébergé un temps, il nous revient avec "How To Live On Nothing" soit 12 pop songs enchanteresses entre violence contenue et sommets mélodiques, en équilibre gracieux entre ses très bas et ses très hauts.

Comme l'indique le titre de son nouvel album, Troy Von Balthazar n'a besoin que de ce que peut contenir son sac. Il sillonne le monde en troubadour, avec toujours à portée de main, une guitare, un dictaphone, et les cahiers auxquels il confie ses paroles de chansons et ses notes de roman, et n'a qu'une idée en tête: écrire la plus belle des chansons et la jouer sur scène.
