The project

My name is Alex, I am 26 and I am currently a student/employee on the campus of NEWBOLD COLLEGE Bracknell ,UK.

Recently graduate of a master in IT, I decided to learn the English language and about English culture. After many amazing experiences, I am working on one beautiful campus and get involved in several solidarity actions in the community.

I am passionate about technology, sports and travel. Wishing to be involved 100% in the ADRA association, NEPAL project seemed obvious . A humanitarian mission abroad.

ADRA UK - Nepal Project Website

ADRA Connections NEPAL PROJECT is a volunteer program in Nepal where one can visit this wonderful country while fully involving a real humanitarian project ADRA ! The primary objective of this humanitarian mission is to work with developing communities near Kathmandu to create small changes that will last a lifetime.

A group of persons will be going to Nepal this September where volunteers will be able to fund and complete their own ADRA project! This will be a great experience for anyone who wants to see the work first hand, be actively involved and see some of the best sights the world has to offer! The project involves the refurbishment of a library at an impoverished primary/secondary school near Kathmandu.

The trip is between September 6th - 16th.The beginning of the trip will be spent on the ADRA project (building, renovating etc with local workers) and then to discover a part of the country by sharing with the local people.

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) was started by the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a way to follow Christ’s example of serving and caring for those in need. Put simply, ADRA improves the lives of people around the world. The agency searches out deprivation, social injustice, and need—then works to eliminate them. ADRA invests in the potential of individuals through advocacy, supporting families, promoting health, providing food and water, establishing livelihoods, and responding to emergencies.

ADRA seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. The agency’s work seeks to improve the quality of life of those in need. ADRA invests in the potential of these individuals through community development initiatives targeting Food Security, Economic Development, Primary Health and Basic Education. ADRA’s emergency management initiatives provide aid to disaster survivors.

Trekking destination by excellence , Nepal , sandwiched between China and India, the top of the Himalayas dialogue with the heavens . Genuine roof of the world , the country is home to the mythical mountains that are Everest and Annapurna. When that day dawns , the tops painted by the sun shades , unveil breathtaking panoramas .

Nepalese legendary hospitality that will always be there to tell you your way and welcome you into their home as a friend.

However, among the cities of less than one million inhabitants, Kathmandu has been classified by the WHO (World Health Organization) as the most polluted city in the world. Vandalism, scourge in Nepal. The looting of merchants and tourists unscrupulous jeopardize the architectural heritage of the wild Katmandou. The unplanned urbanization and lack of resources.

That is why it is time to say ACTION!

Why fund it?

You can probably guess that if I appeal to your solidarity , it is because I do not have such amount requested and that I could not only afford to fund the completion of this humanitarian mission. This NGO intervenes only on a voluntary basis . Therefore, everything is fresh amicus curiae on one of their actions. This is why the asking price of this humanitarian mission is consistent.

1. The mission expenses up to 1,355€ and includes:

- Project costs such as equipment used for the library of the elementary school.

- Food for the whole stay , that is to say, 3 meals a day.

- Travel on site. - Cultural Immersion and trek a day.

2. Flight ticket return amounting to about 1000€.

A mission is also accompanied health costs, including vaccines, various medications to take and an adapted equipment to be purchased .

Please support my project and allow me to make something useful while enjoying my passion for travel.
