During nearly two years we have travelled around Australia and in the Fijian archipelago in order to capture the perfect moment and find the perfect wave. Always accompanied by our camera we tried to capture every moments of the wonderful trip. Today, we would like to share this unique experience with you and offer you an invitation to travel and discoveries...
Aloha Surf Photography is an ambitious project, which the main goal is to combine our passions for photography, surfing, travel and ecology.
In Hawaiian, Aloha is used everyday for greetings, farewells and expressions of love. Above all, it is a way of life… In the art of surfing Aloha means respecting mother nature and all other living entities, recognizing that everything is connected and interdependent.Aloha is more than one word, it refers to a complete
This word inspired us and through every photographies we want to share with you its energy.
“Aloha is being a part of all, and all being a part of me. When there is pain, it is my pain. When there is joy, it is also mine. I respect all that is as part of the Creator and part of me. I will not willfully harm anyone or anything. When food is needed I will take only my need and explain why it is being taken. The earth, the sky, the sea are mine to care for, to cherish and to protect. This is Hawaiian, this is Aloha!”
With your help, the Aloha Surf Photography project would consist in a photography exhibition located in our hometown of Fontainebleau, just near Paris, and oriented toward the themes of Surfing and the Ocean.
Moreover, we would like to print a 200 pages book with our best photographies, which would be sold during the exhibition and on our site http://alohasurfjournal.com
During this experience of a lifetime we have developped something that we love to call an "environmental consciousness". The beauty of the landscapes we explored, the thousands colours of the coral in Fiji, the grace of the sharks and the tortles dancing above the Great Reef Barrier in Cairns, the loneliness of the Red Australian Center, the spirituality of Uluru have convinced us to act for the protection of our lovely planet.
Consequently, we decided that we will give 10% of all the benefits realized with the exhibition and the books sales to an international organization protecting our oceans and its fauna.
Thank you to everyone of you for your support, we hope to see you soon at our exhibition!
