WHO ARE WE? THE PROJECT AT ITS ORIGIN
CULTUREINSIDE. is an online social network in the art and culture field. It is a community-based website for emerging artists, photographers, mid-career artists, students and in general members of the art & culture world. Being a member on our site and making use of its social tools is free of pay.The site is multilingual in order to give a good communication base to all of its members. World-wide more than 3500 artists have connected and linked themselves from over 95 countries. And the network is permanently growing.
Our non-profit organization CI / C-EYE handles the network, looks for exhibition spaces and organizes collective exhibitions. We have been self-financing ourselves for 5 years thanks to the CI / C-EYE team and the help of convinced volunteers. It tackles the mission of giving maximum visibility to our artists - on the web but also in real life. That is was us the artists seek - a double formula fits for our needs. That is my dream as both an artist and founder since 5 years. And now it's the exciting moment to realize our BRICK & MORTAR project- the common art space & atelier for our network - for you! It will be at our disposal from August 2014 on.
In 2009 our online project obtained the European Year label for creativity and innovation. Our first exhibition took place in Luxembourg, but for our second show "URBAN LEGENDS"we already went for New York City... In this exhibition URBAN LEGENDS - an international group exhibition we presented the original artworks in a studio @ Westbeth / West Village and tacked on printed posters of these works in the streets of Manhattan !
Some photos of events (but there are so much more):
The finishing was the disguised participation in the Halloween cortege with life painting on wheel for example...
The exhibitions continued developing themselves and could take place thanks to their quality in the best exhibition galleries in Luxembourg... We receive excellent press critics for the quality of our events.

THE TEAM SINCE THE START 5 years ago - founders & co
Gila Paris - artist-photographer and founder
Frank Shifreen - artist and curator, NYC
Dominique aka Yellowcat - technical lead
Jonas Nystrom - Webdesign
and most importantly: all our artist members
We never lose sight that the art is done by the artist and nowhere else - this leads us to organize this atelier space for which we need partly financial support. We finance by ourselves 5000 Euros but we need still the amount of 4800 in order to properly set up the atelier inside.
BRICK & MORTAR - A NEW STUDIO - FROM VIRTUAL TO REALITY
This large demanding project is realized by a small team of artists and web-expert volunteers which gives it all for the success of this project. We have now found an adequate workshop space where our members will be able to settle for their work, to meet, to be creative together, have exchange and to create synergies ! We plan on exhibiting art works of the community genre "wild galleries" and create artistic residences in Luxembourg for non-local artists.
To properly succeed with this project we still require a total amount of 4800 Euros to shift the found space into a studio, handle repairs, installations... Our own financial input amounts to 5000 euros, which we need an additional of.
A huge thanks for your support!
