THE BERLIN PROJECT
The Berlin project aim to become a photo book about Tempelhof former airport in Berlin and its new social reality. For those of us still passionate about ink and paper, I wish to print the first 300 copies of my book with your support too, because I trust independent productions. Imaginez un instant une grande ville pleine de bâtiments, de monde, de confusion, de bruit et de pollution. Ce n’est pas difficile à visualiser, c’est une image plutôt commune dans le monde entier… Maintenant, essayez d’imaginer quelque chose de différent, une île verte de liberté au cœur d’une grande ville : je veux parler de Tempelhof, à Berlin, et de ses 370 hectares transformés en 2010 en parc public, après un long passé d'aéroport militaire et civil.</p>
<p lang="fr-FR">
Ces dernières années, Tempelhof a souvent été l’objet de débats et de manifestations publiques de la part de différentes associations qui souhaitaient la reconversion de ce terrain en parc public. Grâce à ces associations, l’ex-aéroport de Tempelhof, ce grand espace vert entre les quartiers de Kreutzberg et Neukölln, accueille maintenant des jardins potagers biologiques et de nombreux sportifs parmi lesquels maints adeptes du skate, des familles, des artistes et des passionnés de cerfs-volants.</p>
<p lang="fr-FR">
Malheureusement, cette saison d’heureuse anarchie pourrait bientôt s’achever en raison de la spéculation immobilière qui entraînerait la gentrification de la zone.</p>
<p lang="fr-FR">
Toujours attiré par les dynamiques qui existent entre la ville et ses habitants, j’ai voulu porter mon regard sur les personnes qui<i> vivent</i> le parc de Tempelhof et en faire les protagonistes de mon livre photo. </p>

Ce projet a débuté à l'été 2012 et je souhaiterais mettre en page et imprimer le livre d’ici fin novembre 2013, en espérant votre précieux concours.</p>

Well, imagine a big city full of buildings, people, cars, hustle, noise and pollution.</p>
<p>
It isn't difficult to imagine, quite a usual picture.</p>
<p>
Now try to imagine something different, a green island of peace and freedom in the heart of the big city. This is today Tempelhof former airport in Berlin converted since 2010, after its long and well known military and civil airport past, into a 370 hectares public park!</p>
<p>
Through the last years Tempelhof has often been object of public discussion and demonstrations by many social movements, about the area reconversion into a city public park.</p>
<p>
Thanks to these associations Tempelhof airport, the big green empty space between Kreuzberg and Neukölln districts, hostes to day organic vegetable gardens, lots of sportsmen including all kinds of skaters, artists, families and kites enthusiasts.</p>
<p>
Unfortunately this happy anarchy period could end soon because of estate speculation and we may assist at an other city district gentrification.</p>
<p>
The included video , showing a happy relationship between the city and its inhabitants, is part of the editorial and exhibit ongoing multimedia project .</p>

Provate a immaginare una grande città piena di palazzi, persone, auto, confusione, rumore e inquinamento.</p>

Non è difficile da visualizzare, un'immagine piuttosto comune in tutto il mondo...</p>
<p>
Ora provate a immaginare qualcosa di diverso, un'isola di verde e libertà nel cuore della grande città. Stiamo parlando di Tempelhof a Berlino trasformato dal 2010, dopo il suo lungo e famoso passato come aeroporto militare e civile, in un parco pubblico di 370 ettari!</p>
<p>
Nel corso degli ultimi anni Tempelhof è stato spesso oggetto di dibattito e manifestazioni pubbliche,</p>
<p>
da parte di molte associazioni per la riconversione dell'area in verde pubblico.</p>
<p>
Grazie a queste associazioni l'ex areoporto di Tempelhof, il grande spazio vuoto pieno di verde tra i quartieri di Kreuzberg e Neukölln, ospita attualmente orti biologici urbani, è frequentato da molti sportivi, appassionati di aquiloni, famiglie e artisti . Purtroppo questa stagione di felice anarchia potrebbe finire presto a causa della speculazione immobiliare e questo darebbe il via alla gentrificazione della zona. Il video che potete vedere in questa presentazione ritrae una felice relazione tra la città e i suoi abitanti ed è parte integrante di un progetto multimediale in corso con la finalità di una pubblicazione editoriale .</p>
