Before the campaign | Does my project meet the KissKissBankBank guidelines?

Your project must fit into one of our creativity or innovation categories.
Its purpose must be well defined: a book, a show, a web-documentary, an exhibition, a video game, an application, etc.
We will reject personal projects such as vacations, birthdays, or personal loans.
Projects matching our criteria will also have to demonstrate their seriousness to be accepted on the site.

Before the campaign | How should I set my campaign goal and duration?

Before setting your funding goal, keep in mind that your campaign will follow an all or nothing rule:
If you reach or exceed your goal, you will receive the collected funds. If your goal is not reached by the end of the campaign, your contributors will be automatically refunded. Choosing the correct goal for your project is THE key starting point of your campaign.

The mean contribution on KissKissBankBank is around €58. To get an idea of the number of people you will have to reach, you can divide your funding goal by this number.

Before the campaign | How can I find the project I created?

When connected, click on "Me" at the top right of the page. Then click "My projects", and select your project.

Before the campaign | Do my rewards meet the guidelines?

To understand how you can create good rewards, please refer to our guide.
We will not accept rewards such as:

  • equity or financial return,
  • discounts or vouchers (although you can offer a product at a lower price than its future retail price),
  • any rewards not tied to your project.

Before the campaign | How much time will it take to validate a project?

We will get in touch in the next 3 business days following the submission of your project.

Before the campaign | Can I run my campaign on several crowdfunding platforms at the same time?

We will not accept campaigns on two platforms because that would be counter-productive. You risk missing your target on both platforms.
You should rather focus your communication on a single campaign. Take some time before-hand to choose the platform you like best.

Before the campaign | How do I translate my project in other languages?

  1. Log in.
  2. Click on "Me" at the top right of the page.
  3. Click on "My projects", then on your project thumbnail.
  4. Click on "Edit the project" at the top left of the page.
  5. Click on "(2) Details".
  6. Click on "English" to create the English version. Click on "Manage languages" to add a new translation.

Before the campaign | I cannot format by project page or insert any picture.

This may be a browser issue.

During the campaign | Can I stop my project while it is collecting?

Yes, contingencies happen, and you can put your campaign to an end.
Here are the steps to take:

  1. Warn all of your KissBankers by using the "KissBankers" tab on your project page.
  2. Publish the news on your project page.
  3. Let us know and we will delete your project.

During the campaign | Can I have access to my KissBankers' emails and home addresses?

That information is only made available once the campaign has ended, and if it has succeeded.
Meanwhile, you can contact your KissBankers:

  • either by clicking on their profile,
  • either by using the "KissBankers" tab at the top of your project page.

During the campaign | How do Mentors choose campaigns they wish to support?

Mentors behave just like any KissBankers.
They choose projects which correspond to their spheres, and support them, each in their own way.
It is not possible to contact them through this website.

During the campaign | How can I share my campaign?

To share your campaign, you can:

  • copy/paste your campaign's web address in your emails, Facebook posts, or your tweets,
  • click on the share buttons underneath your campaign's photo.

After the campaign | How can I send a contribution receipt to a KissBanker?

As a project creator, you can download a blank donation receipt on your project page.
Once filled, you can send it to the contributor that has requested it. He will then fill it and file it among his accountancy.

After the campaign | In case of success, how many days will it take until I receive the collected funds?

Once your campaign has succeeded, we commit ourselves to send you your collect within ten working days, from the moment your supporting documents have been validated by our payment service provider.

During the campaign | Can I cancel my contribution?

Yes.

  1. Login.
  2. Visit the project page.
  3. Click on "Manage your contribution".
  4. Click on "Cancel my contribution" at the right end of the page.
  5. Click on "Ok".

During the campaign | How can I get in touch with a project creator?

To avoid that project creators end up overwhelmed by messages, only one KissBanker of the project can contact them.
For that purpose, if you have contributed to the campaign:

  1. Login.
  2. Visit the project page.
  3. Click on the red envelop on the left of the page to contact the project creator.

During the campaign | Can I contribute anonymously?

Yes. For that purpose, you can use an alias.
However, if you wish to receive a reward, it is mandatory to give your name and address. Hence, your identity will be revealed to the creator of the project only.
You can also hide the amount of your contribution, by checking the corresponding box, when contributing to the project.

After the campaign | How can I obtain a contribution receipt, as proof of payment?

Only the project creator can issue a donation receipt.
To receive that receipt, please contact the project creator:

  1. Login.
  2. Visit the project page.
  3. Click on the red envelop on the left of the page to contact the project creator.

After the campaign | I have participated to a successful campaign, but I still have not received my rewards. What can I do?

We invite you to contact the project creator:

  1. Login.
  2. Visit the project page.
  3. Click on the red envelop on the left side of the page to contact the project creator.

Site usage | Delete my account

To delete your user account, take the following steps:

  1. Login.
  2. Click on "Me" at the upper right corner of the website.
  3. Click on "Edit my profile".
  4. Click on "Delete my account" at the right end of the page.
  5. Enter your password to confirm you wish to delete your account, and confirm again.

During the campaign | Can I contribute to the same project multiple times?

You cannot choose multiple rewards with a single user account.
We have a one contribution-one supporter rule, as we are different from an e-commerce platform.
However, you can switch rewards by clicking on "Manage my contribution" on the project page.
If you wish to receive the same reward twice, you have to create another user account.
