Champions Mon Frère

Revealing oneself through sport and culture Analog Sport is a project of education and insertion though analog and sports photography. For its first year, Analog Sport trained about ten young people aged from 15 to 20 years old to the practice of analog photography and allowed them to cover several sports events. In 2022, we will open 3 new promotions in Paris and Marseille including one 100% female only. These young people are helped and accompanied for free during the year. Discovery, pleasure, emancipation: we see analog photography and sports as ways for them to express themselves while learning. Bring a new perspective on analog photography These young people will, thanks to you, learn the practice of silver photography which requires patience, rigor, boldness and artistic sensitivity. The goal, through their eyes, will be to change the way we look at sports. At a time when the spotlight is concentrated on a bunch of professional athletes, we want to shed light on women's sports, parasports, amateurs games, training sessions, improvised games or street sports. Train the youth to capture the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games want to have a positive and lasting impact on society through sport. Within four years, we want to initiate and train these young people so that they can take pictures of the Olympics in their own way: this event belongs to them as much as to the athletes and they must be its ambassadors. We are convinced that these youth will bring a different glance on the Games and that they will be the guardian of its memory on the whole territory. Analog Sport wants to be part of the Games' legacy in several ways: We will rely on the magic of the Games to make people discover the practice of photography, the different professions within sport and culture We want to replicate this project on several territories in France and abroad (Rio, Dakar..) We want to make young people aware of the issue of disability and highlight the Paralympic sports through photography We want to work on the memory of the Paris 2024 Games by introducing young people to the creation of exhibitions and photo magazines Examples of planned workshops : Guided visit of a photography exhibition Introduction to analog photography (equipment, shooting) Initiation to development in a photo lab Photographing sports in your neighborhood Take a portrait of an athlete Photographing a handisport or adapted sport event Photographing several professional sports events Preparation of an exhibition in a gallery Production of a paper magazine with the photos taken during the year

Allocation of funds

The purpose of the fundraising is to provide these youth with quality equipment and to facilitate their access to high level sporting events. The money collected will be used mainly for four types of expenses: Photo equipment and logistical costs (59%): purchase of second-hand analog cameras for each youth, but also several hundreds of films, which will have to be developed, printed and sometimes framed. The money will also be used to finance the transportation of these youth as well as to pay for the speakers (workshop leaders, guided tours, etc.) A trip (22%) to a European capital. The funds raised will cover the logistical costs involved in such a trip: transportation, lodging, meals, tickets for exhibitions, etc. The exhibition in the gallery (9%) which allowed to put forward their work and to make a retrospective on all their progress. Communication and administrative costs (9%). The rest of the money (10%) will be used to finance the communication around the project as well as the administrative costs.
