<p> <em>As usual the translation will come later. :) But all the interviews are in english! </em></p> <p>  </p> <p> <em>3 heures de route de Boston et me voici à New York. C’est parti pour 7 jours dans cette cité cosmopolite avec des rendez-vous aux 4 coins de la ville. La <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Apple" target="_blank">Grande Pomme</a> m’a montré une autre facette de l’Open Science. L’Open Science dans cette ville semble se trouver à la jonction de différents mouvements citoyens, artistiques, technologiques. Voici quelques projets que je souhaitais vous faire partager. Qu’on les rattache aux termes de science citoyenne, science participative ou citizen science, l’importance est qu’ils facilitent l’ouverture et l’interaction de la Science avec d’autres sphères.</em></p> <h3> <strong>Mozilla Science Lab : Quand les communautés Open Science et Open Web se rencontrent..</strong></h3> <p> Premier rendez vous de la semaine : j’ai la chance de rencontrer l’une des femmes les plus charmantes et actives dans le domaine de l’Open Science : Kaitlin Thaney. Cette jeune femme, a déjà travaillé, entre autres, pour le <a href="http://sciencecommons.org/about/" target="_blank">Science Project de Creative Commons</a> et se retrouve aujourd’hui à la tête du <a href="https://wiki.mozilla.org/ScienceLab" target="_blank">Mozilla Science Lab</a>. Ce projet permet à Kaitlin et son équipe de faire se rencontrer l’Open Science et l’Open Web dont la Fondation Mozilla est un acteur majeur.</p> <p> Le Mozilla Science Lab reflète les valeurs de cette communauté et par essence celle de l’OpenWeb : ouverture, éthique open source, et importance de la coopération. En ayant comme porte d’entrée les technologies open, le Mozilla Science Lab souhaite aider à la coordination, la fédération des initiatives et outils développés en Open Science. Kaitlin, dans <a href="http://kaythaney.com/2013/09/01/our-plan-for-the-science-lab-version-1-0/" target="_blank">un de ses derniers articles</a>,  dont je reprends certaines parties dans ce texte, explique clairement le bien-fondé de cette mission. Le manque de coordination, et de communication avec d’autres initiatives, amène souvent à la duplication de projets. Il est donc nécessaire de favoriser de nouvelles collaborations et une plus grande interopérabilité. Cela peut, par exemple, permettre d’adapter un outil existant dans un champ scientifique pour un autre domaine sans devoir repartir de zéro.</p> <p> Donner les clefs de compréhension de tels outils est aussi un but majeur du Mozilla Science Lab. La Science devient de plus en plus computationnelle, la recherche dépend de plus en plus de l’analyse de jeux de données. Les scientifiques doivent avoir toutes les cartes en main pour comprendre ce qu’ils produisent, analysent. Et cela passe par une formation sur les outils et les technologies sous-jacentes.</p> <p> Kaitlin Thaney avec ce projet aide la recherche en général à s’adapter aux enjeux technologiques de son temps. Bien que les « quartiers généraux » de Mozilla soient à San Francisco, la communauté new yorkaise semble très active. J’ai ainsi découvert le projet <a href="http://openart.eyebeam.org/" target="_blank" title="Open Art ">OpenArt</a> soutenu par Mozilla lors de ma visite au centre technologique et artistique <a href="http://www.eyebeam.org/about" target="_blank" title="Eyebeam">EyeBeam</a>. Cette espace offre des résidences et des bourses à des artistes mêlant dans leurs travaux art et technologies. Eyebeam se décrit comme un incubateur de créativité, un accélérateur de rencontres mais aussi un lieu d’expérimentation et de recherche avec comme toile de fond une culture « Open ». Le projet « Open Art » lancé par EyeBeam et Mozilla se trouve à l’intersection de l’art et de l’OpenWeb. Deux sphères qui se rencontrent et créent des étincelles.</p> <div class="wp-caption aligncenter" id="attachment_1155" style="width: 570px"> <a href="http://hackyourphd.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/eyebeam.jpg"><img alt="eyebeam" class="size-large wp-image-1155" height="750" src="http://hackyourphd.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/eyebeam-764x1024.jpg" width="560" /></a> <p class="wp-caption-text"> Eyebeam : art and technology center</p> </div> <h4> Public Lab : du DIY au service de l’environnement</h4> <p> Le partage et le regroupement de personnes autour d’un centre d’intérêt m’a semblé être un point majeur à New York. Le mouvement « Occupy Wall Street » qui a pris racine ici, il y a maintenant presque 2 ans, y est sûrement pour quelque chose. Concernant  l’Open Science, j’ai notamment rencontré la cofondatrice de <a href="http://publiclab.org/" target="_blank">Public Lab</a> : Liz Barry. Avec 6 autres co-fondateurs, Liz a décidé après la marée noire de mai 2010 à La Nouvelle-Orléans de fédérer une communauté autour de questions environnementales. En effet, Public Lab prototype de nouveaux outils et kits DIY pour donner à chaque citoyen la possibilité de collecter des données concernant leur environnement. La plateforme offre aussi la possibilité de partager ses données et de les analyser collaborativement. La façon dont Public Lab s’organise est bien rôdée : une liste de diffusion pour les questions, un <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20070624072115/http://wikinodes.wiki.taoriver.net/">wikinode</a> pour poser les premières pierres d’un projet, et la page wiki pour les descriptions détaillées du prototype etc. Tout est open hardware et open source. Le but de ce projet pour Liz Barry est de donner les moyens et outils à tous les citoyens pour faire valoir leur expertise et leur connaissance pointue sur leur environnement. Ce qui fait la force d’un tel mouvement, c’est la mise en commun des compétences de chacun et l’engagement de tous face à un intérêt commun.</p> <p> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F109619617" width="100%"></iframe></p> <h4> Project Noah : retrouver le goût et la curiosité pour les sciences</h4> <p> D’autres rencontres lors de la semaine ont illustré la création de communauté en lien avec la science, que cela soit pour la recherche ou sa communication. C’est le cas par exemple de <a href="http://www.projectnoah.org/" target="_blank"><i>Project Noah</i></a>. Cette plateforme permet à tous les curieux de partager des photos, prises près de chez eux, d’animaux ou de plantes. Le réseau est international et l’on découvre ainsi sur le site la diversité phénoménale de la faune et de la flore de notre planète.</p> <p> En plus des férus de photos, des amateurs de zoologie s’amusent sur le site à reconnaître précisément chaque espèce. Yasser Ansari a crée ce projet il y a quelques années. Pour lui, nous sommes tous nés avec l’âme d’un chercheur. La curiosité et la soif de comprendre sont présentes chez bien des enfants. Son but avec <i>Project Noah</i> est de redonner goût aux sciences et créer un engagement fort autour de la science. Je vous invite à écouter son interview qui est des plus rafraîchissantes..</p> <p> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F108848523" width="100%"></iframe></p> <h4> Genspace : Biohacking à New York</h4> <p> Pour découvrir d’autres projets liant science et société, voici l’interview de Oliver Medvedik de <a href="http://genspace.org/" target="_blank" title="Genspace">GenSpace</a> un des premiers biohackserpaces ( décembre 2010).<iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F110367305" width="100%"></iframe></p> <p> Et pour connaître ce qui se passe en France en terme de biohacking, voici le TED de Thomas Landrain co-fondateur de <a href="http://www.lapaillasse.org/" target="_blank">La Paillasse</a>.</p> <p> <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6rXf_abMKik" width="420"></iframe></p> <h4> Wikipedia : un levier majeur pour l’OpenScience</h4> <p> A noter les propos de <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Bluerasberry" target="_blank">Lane Rasberry</a> sur Wikipédia. Il considère cette plateforme connue de tous comme un formidable levier de communication sur la santé et la médecine.</p> <p> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F109613675" width="100%"></iframe></p> <p> A ce sujet, un wikisprint, évènement spécial d’une journée pour contribuer à enrichir le contenu de wikipedia se mettra en place prochainement.. Le <a href="http://blog.hatewasabi.info/announcement-okcon-open-citizen-science-submissions/" target="_blank">projet</a> a été proposé dans le cadre de la conférence OKcon ( Open Knowledge Conference) le jeudi 19 septembre. Si cela vous intéresse de participer, vous pouvez voter <a href="http://doodle.com/qa7t4agnekzgidst" target="_blank">ici</a> pour le projet.</p> <h3> <strong><em>Citizen Science</em> : Richesse et diversité des initiatives</strong></h3> <p> Quel terme peut-on utiliser pour définir ces initiatives ? Science citoyennes, participatives, collaborative ou bien l’équivalent anglais <i>citizen science</i> ? Il est difficile de catégoriser ce type de projets. Les formes et les formats varient. De même que le degré d’implication et d’interaction avec le monde de la recherche. Il est tout aussi difficile de classer les différents espaces innovants et ouverts : hackerspaces, makerspaces, etc. Je l’avais évoqué dans le billet <a href="http://hackyourphd.org/2013/08/hyphdus-open-science-san-francisco/" target="_blank">Semaine Open Science à San Francisco : un cocktail impressionnant de rencontres et de lieux</a>.</p> <p> Cette caractéristique s’explique peut-être par l’essence même de tels projets. Ils se basent sur l’engagement de personnes formant ainsi une communauté autour d’un sujet d’intérêt. Chaque regroupement est différent et fournit une identité propre et spécifique à chaque projet. Le point de départ commun à cette myriade d’initiatives est la notion de mission et de valeurs communes. Puis, c’est le travail collaboratif et les interactions entre des acteurs aux compétences diverses qui façonnent ces projets et leur donnent vie.</p> <p> Avec ces initiatives, la frontière entre Science et Société devient ainsi plus poreuse. Cela ne revient pas à dire que tout citoyen est un chercheur ! Le but est plutôt de créer un dialogue et une compréhension. Aux chercheurs d’accepter l’expertise de sphères non scientifiques sur certains sujets. A nous tous d’avoir la curiosité de prendre part à de telle initiatives (il y en a pour tous les goûts !) et lever le voile qui sépare les processus de recherche du reste de la société.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <em>Merci à Guillaume Dumas et Matthieu Lechanjour pour les relectures.</em></p>

<p> After California and Oregon, Montreal and Boston were my first steps on the East coast. I didn’t stay long in Montreal but it was worth it and I left enriched with many interesting comments about the Open Science Movement. Once settled in Boston, I mostly explored Cambridge, a neighboring city hosting Harvard university and the MIT. I went there twice and got the impression that people live in very different bubbles. Some of them, though highly innovative were quite far from Open Science perspectives. Others give rise to refreshing initiatives both regarding form and content.</p> <h3> <b>Montréal : Getting out of comfort zone </b></h3> <p> HackYourPhD in the US made a short detour through Québec. 4 days in Montréal, 2 presentations and many questions.</p> <h4> <strong>Open Access with Jean-Claude Guédon</strong></h4> <p> Freshly out of the plane, I was spending my first afternoon discussing about Open Access with <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Claude_Gu%C3%A9don" target="_blank" title="jean claude guedon ">Jean-Claude Guédon</a>, an historian of Sciences at the University of Montréal. He believes evaluation and communication of science should be a continuous flow and not restrict itself to scientific publishing.  During my interview he insisted a lot on the hope that open access platforms brings to developping countries, citing <a href="http://www.scielo.org/php/index.php" target="_blank" title="SCIELO">ScieELO</a> (Brazil) and <a href="http://www.redalyc.org/" target="_blank" title="REDALYC">Redalyc</a> (Mexico) as examples.</p> <p style="border: 0px; font-family: Gudea, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; color: rgb(85, 85, 85); line-height: 24px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F105991134" width="100%"></iframe></p> <h4> <strong>HEC Montréal :</strong></h4> <p> My stay in Montreal was short but rich. For the first time since the launch of HYPhD, <a href="http://fau.academia.edu/GuillaumeDumas" target="_blank" title="Guillaume Dumas">Guillaume Dumas</a> and I had the opportunity to attend meetings and presentations together. Two different but complementary profiles and perspectives to answer questions of people rather skeptical about the Open Science Movement.</p> <p> At HEC Montréal, we faced students and researchers in business and/or economy oriented. This audience was very different from the usual one consisting mostly in researchers aware of today’s issues in Science and/or advocates of the principles of Open Science. Here, this was a discovery and each term had to be clearly defined. Some researchers did not understand what the notion of Open Science was meaning. Interesting questions were raised, among which about the definition and nature of Science, Research and the Open Science Movement and its sustainability. “Are the commons and Open Science movements just another trend that will soon vanish?”</p> <p> This confrontation reminded us that there is a great need to study Open Science and other movement such as the Collaborative Economy in order to clarify them and prove their value. They should be studied, compared. One should dive in the history of science to understand the mechanisms of collaboration and how it evolved through centuries. One other approach would be to try to model the dynamics of such organizations. This could help to give feedbacks to these initiatives and give us some clue on their sutainability.</p> <p> This adventure in Montreal thus led us to confront other opinions which is always something positive as long as discussions remain fruitful.</p> <h3> <strong>MIT and Harvard : more bubbles</strong></h3> <p> A 10 hours bus drive crossing the border led me to Boston. The concentration of Colleges and Universities here is impressive. Among those, the MIT and Harvard can be found in the city of Cambridge.</p> <h4> <strong>MIT and Medialab : Closed innovation</strong></h4> <p> I discovered a pretty bubble at the MIT and Medialab.</p> <p> I spent 2 afternoons at the <a href="http://media.mit.edu/" target="_blank" title="medialab">Medialab</a>. <a href="http://tedxboston.org/speaker/xiao" target="_blank" title="xiao tedxboston">XiaoXiao</a>, a PhD student of the Tangible Media Group, was a great guide throught this Alibaba cavern where one can find 3D Printers, robots, legos and other U(F)Os. My personal feeling is that Open Science is not a core matter here. The goal is to innovate but not to be innovative in the research process. Finding funding and sponsors is a main goal here. This would reduce their competitivity and reduce the funding options.</p> <p> Those MIT meetings gave me the impression that those labs were another bubble where strong innovation was paired with a highly competitive traditional research system.</p> <p> A few underground stations away, Harvard university was a very different story.</p> <h4> <strong>Harvard : the Dataverse Network Project and the Open Data licences question</strong></h4> <p> At the <a href="http://www.iq.harvard.edu/" style="font-style: italic;" target="_blank">Institute for Quantitative Science</a>, a team is working on a 100% Open Science project : <a href="http://thedata.org/" target="_blank" title="Dataverse Network Project"><i>The DataverseNetwork Project</i></a>. It consists in building a platform allowing any researcher to archive, share and cite his data. It has many functionalities cleverly linking it to other aspects of Open Science ( open access journal with <a href="http://pkp.sfu.ca/?q=ojs" target="_blank">OJS</a>, citation, altmetrics..)</p> <p> The head of the project, Mercè Crosas, has been working on Open Data Licencing for over ten years. This was also a main topic of our discussion.</p> <p> During my trip, I realised that Data Licencing was a big puzzle for many. Most institutions still do not know which licences to use. People have diverging opinions on the issue, mostly when it is human related data. Different approaches have been taken to deal with sharing human data.</p> <p> In 2005, the <a href="http://www.personalgenomes.org/" target="_blank" title="personal genome project">Personal Genome Project</a> (PGP) was launched by a team of the Harvard school of Medicine. The PGP find volunteers, the genome of which they sequence and publicly share. According to Jason Bobe, the 3″O”s Open Source, Open Science, Open Consent form the basis of the project. Their data become part of the public domain and are not anonymised. This choice is summarized here:</p> <blockquote> <p> <i style="line-height: 28px; font-size: 15px;">« Privacy, confidentiality and anonymity are impossible to guarantee in a context like the PGP where public sharing of genetic data is an explicit goal. Pushed forward by the startup « Patients like me », it is a real collaboration between patients and researchers. Surveys are proposed to patients. Patients answer them and provide feedback leading researchers to come up with an updated version etc.. Those questionnaires, published under creative commons licences can then be used at larger scale, which is one of the crucial idea behind the project. The blossoming initiatives are and will even more in the future blur the boundaries between academia and the private sector. What lacks however is a link between those isolated projects that do not really talk to one another. <p>  </p> <p dir="ltr"> <em>After California, the last step on the West Coast led me to Seattle. During this week, I was fortunate to have an outstanding guide Brian Glanz, co-founder of the Open Science Federation. In Seattle, I was able to explore a facet of the Open Science different from San Francisco. In fact, the directions taken by big software and services companies, such as Microsoft or Amazon, strongly oriented themes treated in Open Science. Open Data, administration and management of Big Data in Life Sciences, were the recurring themes of the various meetings and interviews.</em></p> <p dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-69555e74-c7fa-fb23-b85d-e6494ae86781"> If San Francisco has been an immersion in the world of startups and<a href="http://storify.com/HackYourPhd/hyphdus-hackerspace" target="_blank"> hackerspaces</a>, Seattle instead was diving in the world of innovative academic. I had 9 meetings, 13 interviews and one event. The week was busy with Brian Glanz, who planned the entire program and took the time to accompany me to every meeting. Brian Glanz is one of the busiest people I know in the community of Open Science. He is the co-founder of the Open Science Federation (<a href="https://twitter.com/openscience" target="_blank">@openscience</a> on Twitter), organizer of<a href="http://scienceonlineseattle.org/" target="_blank"> ScienceOnline à Seattle</a>, founder of the chapter<a href="http://us.okfn.org/" target="_blank"> OKFNUS</a>. He is also very active in civic activities (open government, open food…) and wants to see research more involved in each of his actions.</p> <h3> <strong>The University of Washington: a wealth of actors and projects for the Open Science</strong></h3> <p dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-69555e74-c7fe-0018-65a2-e2381b3cd046">  First day in Seattle, I discovered the <a href="http://fish.washington.edu/people/Roberts/" target="_blank">School of aquatic and fishering sciences </a> which is part of the <a href="http://coenv.washington.edu/" target="_blank">College For Environment</a>. This is a classic laboratory in appearance, but with innovative research practices. We meet Steven Roberts, who manages one of the <a href="http://faculty.washington.edu/sr320/" target="_blank">research laboratorie</a>s. Behind his computer, he begins to explain to us how he manages his research notebook: he shares all his data and the progress of his work on<a href="http://ipython.org/"> Ipy</a>. Student involvement contributes for many to the dynamic image of the laboratory: they communicate on the progress of their work on social media but also on a Wiki. Steven Roberts is an « openscientist » in the soul; for him it’s quite normal to implement these practices, and try, and test these new tools like<a href="https://github.com/"> Github</a> ( a collaborative platform for writing code, increasingly used in research).</p> <p dir="ltr"> A few yards away, we have an appointment at the <a href="http://commons.lib.washington.edu/">Research Commons</a> space, tables and walls in whiteboard, open 7/7… Everything is done to facilitate the emergence of new ideas. The administrators of the center are also interested in the training of researchers in data management. How to organize and label them? How to standardize them? They recently organized a workshop on the reproducibility of data in research. The University of Washington evolves in data culture. This can be explained by the particular structure of companies and research institutes in Seattle area. The background, made of big software and services companies like Microsoft or Amazon, play a major role.</p> <p dir="ltr"> I discussed it with <a href="https://twitter.com/jamesian">Sally James</a>, scientific journalist in Seattle. She gives some explanations in this interview:</p> <blockquote> <p dir="ltr"> “There is an interesting mix in Seattle. Many people look at the signal/noise ratio. Some build applications for mobile, others observe how proteins are expressed in cell. This city is a place where different domains overlap.”</p> </blockquote> <p dir="ltr"> These ideas are contained in a book published by Microsoft, <a href="http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/collaboration/fourthparadigm/contents.aspx">The Fourth Paradigm: Data-Intensive Scientific Discovery</a>. This book states that we are entering in a new era of research: At experimental, theoretical, and computational studies are added the fourth key concept of data mining.</p> <p dir="ltr"> It strongly inspires Eugene Kolker Co-founder of <a href="http://www.delsaglobal.org/">DELSA</a>. DELSA project – Data Enabled Life Science – seeks to place the question of data, their analysis, sharing and reproducibility at the heart of research in Life Science.</p> <p dir="ltr"> The huge amount of data generated – what is called Big Data – by the study of increasing complex system in Science, certainly brings a new era for research, but accelerates thereby the development of news practices.</p> <p> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F104634533" width="100%"></iframe></p> <h3> <strong>Big Data and Open Data: a need for an approach of complexity in Science</strong></h3> <p dir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-69555e74-e029-d4d8-1a17-5cfc378663d7"> Many research groups in Seattle, including those related to Life or Environmental Sciences, adopt a multi-disciplinary and multi-scale approach. The ISB « <a href="https://www.systemsbiology.org/" target="_blank">Institute for Systems Biology </a>» is one of these organizations. Created 13 years ago, it is one of the first to study Life Science as a complex system. There, they try to understand how different parts of an organism, a cell and a gene interact with each other. Researchers are studying the emergence of new properties in these systems, depending on the context. The ISB has a longstanding Open Science policy; it publishes all the articles in Open Access, shares data and also the code source of software.</p> <p dir="ltr"> The Open Science seems fundamental to analyze Big Data especially in the context of complex approach of the living. Indeed, such research objectives require the collaboration of large number of researchers from different fields. Such collaboration is permitted by models of Open Publications and Open Science approach type…</p> <p dir="ltr"> Thirteen years ago, the IBS was one of the few such institutes. Today, hundreds of organizations are created on the same principle. <p> For those who want to know more about the genesis of HackYourPhD, here is the TEDx I gave on June 6th at <em>la Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie</em> (Paris, France)</p> <p> I explain how a simple post on Facebook gives the first glimmer of the project. I also come back to a big source of inspiration: <a href="http://ouishare.net" target="_blank" title="Ouishare">OuiShare</a>, an international movement about collaborative economy, which was also born in France. I quoted Joel de Rosnay. His book <em><a href="http://surferlavie.com/" target="_blank" title="surfer la vie">Surfer la vie : Sur-Vivre dans une société fluide</a></em> (<em>Surfing Life: How sur-vive in a fluid society)</em> helped me to understand our world and its evolution. All this has motivated me to develop these ideas and trends in research with <em>Open Science.</em></p> <h3> What does the word <em>hacking</em> mean ?</h3> <p> In the TEDx, I especially explain what I mean by <em>Hacking his PhD</em>. Indeed, people are sometimes skeptical of the term “<em>hacking”</em>. For me, it doesn’t mean to become a pirate or a terrorist in research. It means that we should find pragmatic solutions to existing problems. Sometimes, seeking other parallel paths can help to reach his goal. Certainly, by sharing my personal experience, I tackle difficulties in research today. For those who are not familiar with TEDx, during a talk we tell our own story (storytelling) which gave life to the project. But the goal is not to make generalisations about my story.  Each researcher has their own story and feeling.</p> <p> Those who know  more about HackYourPhD are aware that the goal is not to destroy the current research. Voici deux exemples inspirants portés par des personnes visionnaires.</p> <h3> <b>Le projet mené par Thanh Nghien : Open Economy Education & Entrepreneurship (OpEEE) </b></h3> <p> <a href="http://www.thanh-nghiem.fr/tiki-index.php" target="_blank" title="Thanh Nghiem">Thanh Nghiem</a> joue un rôle majeur dans l’accompagnement de projets incarnant les valeurs de l’Open dans toutes ses dimensions. Elle sait structurer les idées, connecter les bons acteurs pour qu’un premier prototype prenne vie. Mais de plus, elle sait accélérer de tels projets, les faire passer à l’échelle et assurer leur durabilité.  Son secret : savoir reconnaître les acteurs clefs qui apportent la brique complémentaire pour construire des initiatives multi-facettes aux impacts  sociétaux majeurs</p> <p> Cette butineuse pollinisatrice accompagne <a href="http://ouishare.net" target="_blank" title="Ouishare">OuiShare</a>, un collectif regroupé autour de l’économie collaborative. Elle suit HackYourPhD depuis ses débuts et a apporté le coup d’accélérateur  à la campagne <a href="http://www.kisskissbankbank.com/fr/projects/hackyourphd-aux-states" target="_blank" title="hackyourphd states crowdfunding kisskissbankbank">HackYourPhD aux States</a>.  Elle s’implique aussi dans le <a href="http://www.cri-paris.org/en/cri/" target="_blank" title="cri francois taddei">Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire</a> au côté de Francois Taddéi qui propose une vision innovante de l’éducation. Elle a aussi exploré ses derniers mois en allant au Vietnam, l’importance de la culture comme élément essentiel de transmission.</p> <p> Aujourd’hui, elle monte un projet d’envergure alliant intelligemment l’ensemble de ces projets.</p> <p> OpEEE pour <strong>Open Economy Education Entrepreneurship</strong> est une aventure croisée entre le Vietnam et le CRI. Elle souhaite créer ainsi des échanges entre étudiants d’école de commerce, des chercheurs de France et du Vietnam pour favoriser l’innovation et ses impacts sociétaux. Son idée : Vietnam = @ccélérateur du CRI et CRI = @ccélérateur du Vietnam.</p> <p> Son projet donnera bientôt lieu à un espace innovant au Vietnam où l’Open Science aura toute sa place. En attendant, n’hésitez pas à regarder son TED sur le partage du savoir.</p> <p> <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hBs1VGhNHuM" width="560"></iframe></p> <h3> <b>Pour un renouveau dans le champ des neurosciences : le Green Neuroscience Lab </b></h3> <p> Lors de mon séjour à San Diego, j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer deux chercheurs qui savent penser <em>out of the box</em>. Il s’agit d’Ann Lam et Elan Ohayon. Tous deux originaires de Toronto ont effectué des post- docs à San Diego. (<a href="http://www.salk.edu/" target="_blank" title="Salk Institute">Salk institute</a>). Ils ont décidé de quitter leur laboratoire pour créer leur propre équipe de recherche : <a href="https://storify.com/HackYourPhd/hyphdus-the-green-neuroscience-lab-espace-de-rech" target="_blank" title="GreenNeuroscienceLab">Le Green Neuroscience Lab</a>. Ann et Elan ne voulaient plus faire de concessions . Passer plus de temps à rédiger des demande de financements ( <em>grant)</em> plutôt que de faire de la recherche leur devenait insupportable.</p> <blockquote> <p> «  Nous voulons faire de la Science car nous aimons cela. Nous souhaitons faire quelque chose de différent, nous souhaitons montrer qu’il y’ a d’autres façons de faire ».</p> </blockquote> <p> Ils ont fait le choix de n’accepter aucun partenariat de recherche avec des entreprises. Ils voient le champ académique comme un domaine nécessairement autonome pour ne pas dépendre d’entreprise pharmaceutique, de projets militaires.  En revanche, ils ne sont pas fermés aux projets développés par des startup. En effet, ils ont crée leur laboratoire grâce à l’aide du <a href="https://neurolinx.org/" target="_blank" title="Neurolinx">Neurolinx Institute</a> dans un centre d’innovation/espace de coworking à San Diego.</p> <p> <iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F101388160" width="100%"></iframe></p> <p>  Ces deux projets ont deux façons différentes d’aborder le rapport entre monde académique et entrepreneuriat. Le projet de Thanh crée des synergies entre la recherche et l’entreprenariat social. Le green neuroscience Lab a lui plutôt décidé de travailler en parallèle des entreprises et startups. Toutefois, le green neuroscience lab ou les futures espaces de OpEEE savent s’intégrer localement dans un écosystème. Ils jouent un rôle majeur dans l’innovation d’usage et donnent ainsi l’exemple et surtout l’envie de répliquer de tels lieux aux quatre coins de notre planète.</p>

<header class="entry-header"> <h1 class="entry-title"> <em style="font-size: 12px;">My initial schedule was to spend a week in San Francisco. But it took me a few extra days to immerse myself with the dynamism of the bay Area in term of OpenScience and innovative spaces.</em></h1> </header> <div class="entry-content"> <p> The schedule of the week was busy with 2 or 3 meetings per day, a presentation of HackYourPhD at Sudoroom (hackerspace in Oakland), a day in Berkeley and two in Palo Alto. I met many people from various backgrounds: researchers, students, entrepreneurs, artists, hackers. San Francisco is a city where you experiment, you try without fear of failure. I felt in love with this city three years ago, and I was not disappointed this second time.  In San Francisco, there are a lot of inspiring hybrid spaces. I met a lot of people in different places of the city : bars, cafes, parks, hackerspaces and undefined places ... The different background sounds will give you the atmosphere. Here are some strong elements of these 10 days. More specific articles will come in a second time.</p> <h3> <strong>Thoughts about the future of academic and non-academic research</strong></h3> <p> I met three major advocators of Open Access this week. I was glad to discuss with them and ask several questions about the future of research.</p> <h4> <b>Cameron Neylon : the future of Open Access</b></h4> <p> Despite a long overseas trip, Cameron Neylon accepted to give two hours to HackYourPhD.  Cameron is the Director of Advocacy for <a data-mce-="" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Library_of_Science">PLOS</a>, a non-profit Open Access Publisher created in 2001. We discussed the future of the Open Access model.  To familiarize yourself with Open Access: Here is a short article I wrote on <a data-mce-="" href="http://www.letudiant.fr/educpros/opinions/innovation-l-editeur-scientifique-plos-pour-une-immersion-dans-le-monde-de-l-open-access.html" target="_blank" title="EducPros L'étudiant openaccess">EducPros</a> about it (in french).</p> <p> According to him, the current models <a data-mce-="" href="http://www.mysciencework.com/fr/MyScienceNews/2524/l-edition-scientifique-son-modele-ses-scandales" target="_blank" title="mysciencework open access">« green » and « gold »</a> will work on the short term. For the long term, there are new innovative infrastructures that will emerge. A point of particularly interest to me was the arrival of traditional Publisher on the market of Open Access.  Is there any « Open washing », meaning the promotion of Open Access for commercial purposes? According to Cameron Neylon, it is definitely the case. They adapt themselves to news uses to keep their market. We planed to meet again in SF. Ethan is an independent researcher who also works as a consultant on a platform of scientific crowdfunding <a data-mce-="" href="https://www.microryza.com/" target="_blank" title="microryza">«  microryza »</a> The discussion focused among others on the development of a new kind of research outside the academic world.<br /> What will be the researcher of the future? According to Ethan, he will create a community around research, writing on a blog, while also sharing on twitter. Consulting and micropayment will be his business model. For Ethan, this researcher will be more than an independent scientist, he will be carried by a mission (a social goal) "mission driven scientist."</p> <h4> <strong>William Gunn : Mendeley a junction between two worlds?</strong></h4> <p> I Met William Gunn in a park not far from Embarcadero. William has been working for over 4 years with <a data-mce-="" href="http://mendeley.com" target="_blank" title="mendeley">Mendeley</a>. The startup has developed a bibliographic management tool for researchers with a collaborative space. Part of their mission includes providing additional evaluation metrics and analyzing it.  Open Science  helps to make more transparent the whole process of research with open data but also with new metrics called altmetrics. Today, scientists are primarily judged on the number of citation of their articles. Why not take into account other criteria? Mendeley works with universities to provide new criteria such as the number of items read by Mendeley users (or 1.9 million people).</p> <p> Those who follow OpenScience News are certainly aware of a mini scandal related to Mendeley. The startup was acquired by Elsevier, a publisher, seen by many as an Evil Publisher. I asked to William Gunn the reason of this partnership. It would not be the financial aspect but rather a strategic choice. Elsevier would have convinced them of their sincerity to develop Open Access. Each of them has its own identity defined by its community but they also have a few characteristics in common: communal spaces, open 24/7, 3D printers in a corner, free WiFi. Everyone can bring its own project or join and create a group already working on a particular topic. I met for example Kevin from <a data-mce-="" href="http://hackyourphd.org/2013/08/hyphdus-open-science-san-francisco/LIEN?PHPSESSID=cd75pockdc5udflkku1eequvo5" target="_blank">Noisebridge</a>. But each of these spaces have also their own special atmosphere, which makes them more <i>makerspace</i> or <i>hackerspace</i>. They take shape and find their model thanks to people using them.</p> <h4> <b>Techshop : Makers Kingdom </b></h4> <p> <a data-mce-="" href="http://techshop.ws/" target="_blank">Techshop</a> is an impressive space regarding the quality and quantity of tools made available. It gives the possibility to everyone to create its own objects (“Do It Yourself” DIY): from its own bike to chocolate boxes. They invite each of us for experimenting and testing, following the <i>hacker</i> ideology.</p> <p> Sudoroom is based in Oakland. Located downtown San Francisco, premises are rented by a co-operative for a peppercorn rent corresponding, at first, to one month. Members settled in and built a real living space. During the course of our discussions, i discovered that this guy was an ex postdoc from Berkeley, who had left the academic research for a job at Facebook… Other, still PhD students, had decided to start their own startup company.</p> <p dir="ltr"> For these <em>dropouts</em>, research was a quick experience that they didn't particularly want to highlight. La vue de l’avion quelques jours auparavant était bien conforme à l’étendue sans fin de Los Angeles et de ses « suburbs ». Les deux journées passées à Los Angeles ont été ponctuées par de long trajets en voiture dans les bouchons.  Les “highways” s’entrecoupent de partout chargées de longues files de voiture à l’arrêt.</p> <h5> <b>Maker city</b></h5> <p> Le premier jour accompagné de Sylvain Charron, (membre de HackYourPhD), j’ai visité  un espace assez époustouflant. Au 11<sup>ème</sup> étage d’un magasin proposant du mobilier kitsch avec des gouts plus ou moins douteux, se trouve un espace de plus de 5000m2 dédiés aux <i>Makers</i>. Ce lieu  “<a href="http://www.makercityla.com/" target="_blank" title="Makercity La">MakercityLA</a>” n’ouvrira qu’en octobre prochain. Pour l’instant peu d’espace sont encore occupés mais on n’y trouve déjà le <a href="http://www.lamakerspace.com/" target="_blank" title="LA makerspace">LA Makerspace</a>, un institut d’art et d’olfaction, ainsi qu’une troupe de théâtre. Bientôt ouvriront un Fablab, une cuisine commune, et un atelier de design. Le but d’un tel espace est d’accompagner les créatifs » et les « <i>Makers</i> » dans leur projet. L’ambition de ce projet est à la hauteur de l’ « American dream » comme en témoigne cette citation.</p> <blockquote> <p> « Nous commencons avec un espace de 60 000 pieds mais nous voyons grand. Nous souhaitons créer une cité de <i>makers,</i> un centre pour les artistes et les artisans, une <i>dream factory</i> »</p> </blockquote> <p> <a href="http://hackyourphd.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/makercity.png"><img alt="makercity" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-890" height="368" src="http://hackyourphd.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/makercity.png" width="406" /></a></p> <p>  </p> <h5> <b>Visite des universités UCLA et USC et premier openscience meetup.</b></h5> <p> Le second jour a été consacré aux visites de deux universités de la ville UCLA et USC.</p> <p> Deux campus à l’américaine : de nombreux bâtiments à brique rouge, mélangeant style espagnol et britannique, de grands espaces verts où les étudiant se posent dans l’herbe. Bref le cliché de l’université américaine par excellence..</p> <p> A UCLA, j’ai rencontré Chris Lee professeur de chimie. Il s’intéresse énormément à l’éducation et expérimente de nouvelles méthodes d’enseignement appelées «<i>  active learning </i>». Pour lui, le système d’éducation classique est inadapté et inefficace. Il base son enseignement sur l’apprentissage des erreurs les plus fréquentes en lien avec un concept. Chris a également crée un site <a href="http://hackyourphd.org/2013/07/du-17-au-21-juillet-2013-los-angeles-san-francisco-hyphdus/selectedpapers.net" target="_blank">selectedpapers.net</a> . Il s’agit d’une plateforme qui permet de partager et taguer des articles en O<i>pen Access </i>sur le réseau social Google+. J’organisais avec<a href="https://soundcloud.com/hackyourphd/july-21-2013-victor-barres-collaboration-research" target="_blank"> Victor Barres</a>, doctorant en neurosciences, le premier <i>Open Science Meetup</i> du voyage. Une dizaine d’étudiants étaient présents, la plupart des doctorants mais aussi des <i>undergraduate</i>. J’avais aussi invité deux personnes impliquées dans les <i>citizen science, </i>Scott Lewis et Liz Krane. Les échanges ont été très intéressants et ma première présentation avec mon anglais bancal a tout de même été comprise. Victor va continuer à animer ce groupe et créer ainsi le premier groupe local aux USA  HackYourPhD. Nous avons discuté pendant plus de 3 heures. Je rencontre Jai Ranganathan, chercheur en écologie mais aussi Cofondateur du <a href="http://scifundchallenge.org/" target="_blank" title="scifundchallenge">Scifundchallenge</a>. Il est largement impliqué dans le « Science outreach »; c’est à dire la communication scientifique menée par les chercheurs eux-mêmes. Pour lui <i>Open Science </i>et engagement des chercheurs à communiquer sur leur recherche sont intimement liés. SciFundChallenge est à la fois une plateforme de <i>crowdfunding </i>fonctionnant par session. Un point très intéressant, qui se démarque d’autres projets de <i>crowdfunding </i>est la collaboration entre les différents porteurs de projets. Pour lui, la communauté autour de ces chercheurs est le c&oelig;ur du succès de scifundchallenge. C’est une ville assez fascinante avec une ambiance très particulière. La ville la plus européenne des Etats-Unis a bien gardé son côté hippie.</p> <h5> <b>Noisebridge : un hackerspace surprenant </b></h5> <p> Samedi soir, je me suis rendue à <a href="https://www.noisebridge.net/" target="_blank" title="Noisebridge">Noisebridge</a>. Cet espace a été crée 4 ans auparavant par Mitch Altman. Au c&oelig;ur de Mission, cet <i>hackerspace </i>est assez surprenant et très orienté <i>hardware</i>. Le matériel électronique à disposition en ferait rêver plus d’un, il y a bien sur une imprimante 3D dans un des coins de l’espace, mais aussi une ébenisterie. Le lieu est ouvert 24h sur 24h, 7j/7j. J’ai discuté avec trois <i>hackers</i>, Kassie construisait sa propre radio selon un plan de la première guerre mondiale, Johnny transforme n’importe quel matériel électronique en instrument de musique, et Dan quant à lui fait parti de la “<em>team</em>” des <i>neurohackers</i>. L’occasion de partager un repas cuisiné à plusieurs en discutant avec un post-doc ayant monté sa propre startup. Le weekend se finissait juste et promettait bien des aventures pour le reste de la semaine..</p> <p> Au programme Palo Alto, Science Exchange, hackerdojo, PLOS et bien d’autres rencontres et visites à vous partager…</p>

<p> A week has passed since I landed in the United States of America. I’ve already traveled around 8000 kms and swiched time zone 3 times. I will here describe the key moments of my firsts stops at Boca Raton, Florida and then in San Diego, California. It’s quite difficult to deal with organizing the many interviews and to add material online. But people I meet are amazing!</p> <h3> <b style="color: rgb(73, 53, 47); font-family: 'Poiret One', 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 27px;">The many joys of air travel…</b></h3> <p> My air travels didn’t all go as smooth as planned.</p> <p> After more than 18 hours in transit, 2 air travels (with a nice stop in NYC), I arrived in Miami at 8.30pm where Guillaume Dumas (cofounder of HYPhD) kindly picked me up. My suitcase was less lucky and stayed in NYC. I spent 3 days non stop to organize meetings, couchsurfing, to write down the interviews etc. Guillaume helped me a lot with setting up the different parts of the website.<br /> It is no easy task to organize a two months long trip. Long life to multitasking!</p> <h4> <strong>A dive into the research world.</strong></h4> <p> This stay in Miami was an occassion to get back into the world of research, that of Cognitive Science. I spent my days working in the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences where Guillaume works.<br /> I rediscovered those sexy wide poster filled scientific corridors…<br /> For a deeper dive, I took part in an EEG experiment and ended up with 120 electrodes on my head. I woke up one hour before take off. This travel and the two following ones went fine. Its business model is based upon a subscription fee to get access to the space. BioTechAndBeyond was created by Joseph Jackson, co-founder of BioCurious and organizer of the OpenSience Summit who clearly states during my interview (available <a href="https://soundcloud.com/hackyourphd/hackyourphdus-josephjackson-biotechandbeyond" target="_blank" title="Joseph Jackson">here</a>) that this is BioTechAndBeyond is not a classical biohackerspace. Rather, he wants this space to be used by biotech experts to turn their ideas into a prototype with the aim to present it to investors.</p> <p> I discussed with other guests and many were suprised by the fact that the material was quite old. As for me, I did find the place was very business oriented.</p> <p> However it does remain an initiative that tries to bring biotech companies and researchers together, which is probably needed in California. But I’m not sure such an initiative would work in France where it is rather unusual to find private biotech investors. This lab is hosted in the amazing « <a href="http://aicenterca.com/" target="_blank" title="aicenter">ansir innovation center</a> ». It is both a coworking space, and startup incubator and a research lab. It diffuses an extremely soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Have you ever seen a lab in which people remove their shoes before entering the lab as if they were entering a dojo.</p> <p> This event was really intense. I discussed with Jai S. Coggan, director of the  <a href="https://neurolinx.org/" target="_blank">Neurolinx Institute</a>, the institute which hosts the green neuroscience lab (interview can be found <a href="https://soundcloud.com/hackyourphd/jai-coggan-openscience-neurolinx" target="_blank" title="Jai S Coggan">here</a>). His view of neurosciences is very innovative. He wants to bring researchers to think out of the box and to engage in unexplored paths that normally wouldn’t get any funding.</p> <p> I was also very impressed by the maturity of the young students of the lab. They are often only undergrad but already present their early work in prestigious neuroscience conferences such as <a href="http://www.sfn.org/annual-meeting/neuroscience-2013" target="_blank" title="SFN2013">SFN 2013</a>. I discussed about OpenScience with the participants who often don’t know much about it but always show enthusiasm and feel that things have to evolve. Elle a rappelé la nécessité de l'open Science pour le futur de la recherche. Comment faire passer en 10 minutes des idées clefs en partageant son expérience personelle? Je m'y suis aventurée samedi 8 juin dernier lors de <a href="http://www.tedxparisuniversites.com/"><span class="s1">TEDxParisUniversités</span></a>. (session 2 vers 12')</p> <p class="p1"> Je souhaitais faire passer un message principal. La recherche actuelle rencontre des blocages, des difficultés. Il faut certes en parler et essayer de les comprendre. Mais le plus important, ce n'est pas de rester sur des critiques mais plutôt d'essayer d'expériementer de tester, d'autres pratiques de recherche qui émergent avec l'openscience. Il se tient à Paris chaque année, notamment au 104 un grand d'espace de programmation culturelle innovante et artistique. </p> <p class="p1"> La FING (Fondation Internet Nouvelle Génération) propose pour la deuxième année les "<a href="http://www.reseaufing.org/pg/groups/121210/connecteur-recherche/" target="_blank">connecteurs recherche</a>". Ces ateliers sont des espaces d'échange entre chercheurs et "praticiens" sur des thématiques émergentes. De forme participative et contributive, chacun partage ses idées, les initiatives et projets qu'il connaît, afin de trouver ensemble des nouvelles pistes ou des nouveaux formats de recherche à explorer.</p> <p class="p1"> J'ai été invité cette année à présenter hackYourPhD lors d'une <strong>Agora sur les enjeux de la recherche sur le numérique</strong>. Nous étions plusieurs chercheurs et doctorants à partager nos expériences sur la recherche et les transformations qui s'y opèrent. De ces échanges, j'en ai retenu plusieurs points marquants : </p> <p class="p1"> - Certains doctorants sont bien loin de rentrer et de s'adapter au moule de la recherche académique. L' étude des domaines de recherche émergents demande souvent de se documenter au fil de l'eau. Il s'agit alors de créer et d'expérimenter de nouveaux cadres de recherche tout en contournant les plus traditionnels. C'est le cas par exemple d'une doctorante étudiant les FabLabs qui a dû s'inscrire en Esthétique! </p> <p class="p1"> - De nombreux doctorants en CIFRE notamment en SHS, ne savent parfois pas trop sur quel pied danser. Ils sont souvent considérés comme des chercheurs "avertis" en entreprise et comme des doctorants "au rabais" en recherche. Dur de trouver sa place. "<span class="s2">Comment faire vivre une communauté scientifique en SHS qui englobe et dépasse l'académie?" La question, posée lors de cet atelier, reste ouverte..</span></p> <p class="p3"> - "Etre chercheur aujourd'hui, c'est aussi se construire en tant que sujet". Le chercheur doit retrouver et/ou accepter son implication dans la société. Au risque de rester un <a href="http://www.monde-diplomatique.fr/mav/104/DEBRAY/17327" target="_blank">post colloquium animal triste.</a></p> <p class="p3"> "La question de la recherche comme pratique collective est entrain de se rénover". Les pratiques, les rapports évoluent notamment grâce au numérique et  à l'open science. Pour ceux qui ne sont pas des « anti-facebook », vous pourrez ainsi suivre l’avancée de la campagne, puis, le voyage étape par étape.</p> <p> Ensuite, un grand merci à tous ceux qui ont partagé le lien de la campagne via Facebook, Twitter aussi bien en anglais et en français.</p> <p> Et si vous vous posez encore des questions sur le crowdfunding : "Comment ça marche? Une rencontre « HackYourPhD » s'organise pour faire connaître l’openscience et présenter HackYourPhD.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Jean-Charles Caillez, <em>Directeur de l’</em><a href="http://ecoledesdoctorantslille.wordpress.com/"><em>Ecole des Doctorants</em></a> m’a donné de nombreux contacts pour m’aider à organiser le voyage dans la Baie de San Francisco. La <a href="http://dschool.stanford.edu/" target="_blank">D school</a>, <a href="http://www.iftf.org/home/" target="_blank">Institute for the future</a>, <a href="http://www.techshop.ws/" target="_blank">Techshop</a> se dessine comme des étapes cruciales du périple en plus des universités de la Baie.</p> <p>  </p> <p> L’étape Montréal s’impose de nouveau après un <a href="http://www.strikingly.com/hackyourphd-quebec" target="_blank">premier voyage d'exploration en mai</a> dernier. Un projet en "open neuroscience"se met en place! La visite de HEC Montréal, qui travaille sur la <a href="http://www.strikingly.com/hackyourphd-quebec" target="_blank">créativité</a> en mélangeant chercheurs et non-chercheurs, sera aussi une belle source d'inspiration pour les ateliers HackYourPhD.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Je suis aussi en contact avec l’<a href="http://opensciencefederation.com/" target="_blank">openscience federation</a> (<a href="https://twitter.com/openscience" target="_blank">@openscience</a> sur Twitter). Ils mènent un travail génial pour répertorier les actualiés open science. Ils proposent volontiers de l'aide pour organiser le voyage "HackYourPhD aux States". Je les rencontrerai également à Seattle.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Des idées pour des restitutions encore plus vivantes</strong> :</p> <p>  </p> <p> En plus des billets de blog au fur et à mesure du voyage, des interviews audio et des portraits de chercheurs ( ebook).</p> <p> Je suis entrain de réfléchir aux outils de cartographie pour visualiser d’un seul coup d’&oelig;il les lieux qui seront visités, et les personnes rencontrées.</p> <p> La liste de la Fonderie <a href="http://www.lafonderie-idf.fr/dataviz-la-boite-a-outils-4549.html" target="_blank">Dataviz</a> est une mine d’or. Le sujet de l’open science a interpellé et ce n’est que le début.
