It is from a selection of a hundred species that you choose the one that will proudly wear your name!</strong></p> <p>By supporting the planting of 468 trees (and this is just the beginning!), You are supporting the development of a pilot project for a food forest in Costa Rica!</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/630203/Capture_pousse_foret-1573328659.PNG" width="100%" /><em>Small tree will become big thanks to your support ...</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>A food&nbsp;forest to preserve biodiversity and cope with climate change.</strong></h3> <p>The most effective way to protect wildlife and deal with environmental challenges is to change the way we produce our resources.</p> <p>Biologist, specialized in the protection of&nbsp;monkeys, I am working since&nbsp;several years on the project that I called La Evidencia. It aims to set up a pilot project for a food forest in Costa Rica. The idea is that depending on the results obtained, this project can be taught and replicated elsewhere, in Costa Rica and around the world.</p> <p>My vision is that, on a global scale, everyone should have the possibility of eating enough and healthily while preserving natural habitats.</p> <h3><strong>La Evidencia, a duplicable micro-agroecosystem</strong></h3> <p>Based on the latest research and methods of agroecology and argo-forestry, La Evidencia, the project that I invite you to support, is the establishment of a simple and accessible agroecosystem for the production of abundant resources, food and energy.</p> <p>On&nbsp;La Evidencia website, <a href="https://nicolasvlgd.wixsite.com/website" target="_blank">here</a>, you will find all the information about this project and the methods to design this ultra-fertile agroecosystem. You will also find more information about me: who I am, what are my motivations, my experience and my expertise, which will contribute to the success of the project.</p> <h3><strong>Transplant 468 fruit trees!</strong></h3> <p>The project La Evidencia&nbsp;sprang up in my mind two years ago during a trip in&nbsp;Costa Rica. During this first investigation, I sowed seeds of mango, avocado, guava, carambola, jackfruit, orange ...</p> <p>The grandfather of a friend, intrigued and interested in this project, allowed me to &#39;squat&#39; his land to make the first concrete step: to go from seeds to shrubs that now only need to be transplanted.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/630227/Capture_1st_nursery-1573337905.PNG" width="100%" /></p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/630225/tableau_fruit-1573337288.PNG" width="100%" /><em>Planting seeds that will become forest thanks to your support ...</em></p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/630196/IMG-20190203-WA0047-1573323903.jpg" width="100%" /><em>The seeds planted 2 years ago have grown well. They gave 168 shrubs just waiting to grow! Here I am, with Tito, beside the shoots invading his garden. <strong>It&#39;s time to transplant them! :-)</strong></em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>A 6-hectare pilot project</strong></h3> <p>In March 2019, during a new exploration trip to Costa Rica, I bought a small wonder of 6 hectares of forest <a href="http://www.google.com/maps/place/La+Evidencia/@9.5882179,-82.6851349,1074m/data=!3m1!1e3" target="_blank">here</a>. And yes, yes, it&#39;s even close to beautiful wild beaches!</p> <p><strong>The next step, for which I need you, is to transplant on the land of La Evidencia project, the 168 shoots sown two years ago, and to conjoin&nbsp;300 fruit&nbsp; trees companions!</strong></p> <p>Trees that will make&nbsp;dream, or intrigue more than one: A&ccedil;ai palm, trees producing &agrave;raza, cherimoya, mangosteen, rambutan, nutmeg or rarer species such as canistel, mamey, argan, logan, sandalwood trees ... and much more.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/630224/tableau_fruit_2-1573337176.PNG" width="100%" /></p> <h3>&nbsp;</h3> <h3><strong>100 species of fruit trees for a nourishing forest!</strong></h3> <p>The food forest will include nearly 100 different fruit species! Small, medium, big ones. They will all be inter-rooted to create a mixed and biodiverse community, the richest possible.</p> <p>The diversity of the forest and the agroecosystem aims to:</p> <p>- Contribute to the food independence of local populations</p> <p>- Recovering ecosystem services in agriculture</p> <p>- Minimize the areas exploited to optimize the areas left to nature.</p> <p>- To be a transplantable model to any&nbsp;region of the world</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>468 trees are looking for 468 stakes!</strong></h3> <p><strong>In order to fund the planting of 468 trees and support the launch of this pilot project, I am looking for 468 contributors, like you.</strong></p> <p>The proposal is simple: you choose from the rewards the tree of which you wish to be the stake. For my part, I will give him your first name (or that of your child, nephew, godson ... *) and I provide you with a certificate of staking.&nbsp;At his plantation as well as on each anniversary date, I will send you a photo showing his development and integration into the forest that will gradually be formed.</p> <p><strong>Each supported&nbsp;tree will embody, for decades to come, even centuries, your involvment&nbsp;to a greener planet and an abundance generated in harmony with nature.</strong></p> <p>And who knows?
