Learning From Europa

We will travel accross twenty plus countries to meet professionals and interview them on their working processes and how they approach the project. This experience will be widely shared in order to promote <strong>creation wealth and diversity encountered in the various European countries.</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> We will bring you up-close to the visits of those agencies, workshops or studios. The project also aims to provide to <strong>a wider audience</strong> what is behind a project, an architecture, a commercial space or a scenography... We met at school, at La Martinière Diderot in Lyon, where we have adopted a taste for experimentation, and shared some all-night working sessions. <strong>A common vision of our profession and a deep commitment for Europe prompted us to undertake this exciting experience.</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> <img alt="Titre4_lfe_en-1459592264" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/298746/TITRE4_LFE_en-1459592264.jpg"></p> <p dir="ltr"> The idea began in early 2015, we both wanted to travel accross Europe and see what is actually going on there. But we thought that putting that in perspective with our professional fields was the most interesting question.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> In fact, some European countries seem to be rarely featured in design and architecture fields. And we wanted to discover and compare the working processes and the current practices in those different countries, because each country has its own <strong>cultural, historical, economic or geographical specificities</strong>. The project approach in Greece, struggling country in Europe, is probably different from the Danish method for example (or maybe not... but it is still worth going to learn).</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> We thought that the best way to figure it out, was to go and see by ourselves, meeting professionals, and earing their side of it, in order to draw up a kind of <strong>panorama of European architecture and design</strong>. It will be completed by our impressions, and details that caught our attention. These small episodes of our travel will take the form of <strong>spontaneous short reports</strong> ; <strong>with video, text and photos</strong> as immediate testimony, in order to transcribe the better the atmosphere of the meeting and visited studios.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> Once back, we will first provide <strong>a series of presentations</strong> at art, design and architecture schools, public venues or events related to those professions, so that this experience will be of benefit to the majority.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> We would also testify of it through <strong>an exhibition</strong>, to compare these views and add our vision of young designers on these practices. This exhibition is not included in our current budget because its contents is not defined yet, as it will depend on our discoveries.
