<p><strong>\o/ Thank you \o/</strong></p><p> </p><p>It's been a wild week, y'all went crazy and you made it happen: PeerTube v1 is financed, and we plan to release it next October.</p><p> </p><p>We are deeply humbled and thankful for all the trust, the sharing, and the kind words you showed us during this crowdfunding... that is far from being done!</p><p> </p><p>Indeed, we still have some days left to aim for a better PeerTube... to shape it's future beyond our wildest dreams!</p><p> </p><p><img alt="Peertube-45k-triangles-1527071472" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/518768/PeerTube-45K-triangles-1527071472.png"></p><p> </p><p><strong>Let's give PeerTube's v1 some killer features!</strong></p><p> </p><p>As one of y'all <a target="_blank" href="https://www.kisskissbankbank.com/en/projects/peertube-a-free-and-federated-video-platform/comments">commented on the crowdfunding page</a>: this is the real deal. Those features will be hard to code, but we know they are game-changers.</p><p> </p><p><u><em>Video redundancy</em></u>, between PeerTube instances, mean that PeerTube hosters with powerful servers and great bandwidth could choose to help smaller PeerTube instances, and make the Fediverse more united and resilient.</p><p> </p><p><u><em>Subscriptions throughout the Fediverse</em></u> would be a great feature for video watchers: they could subscribe to whatever they want, regardless of the Fediverse setting of the instance where they made their account: it'll empower users' freedom.</p><p> </p><p><img alt="Peertube-federation-1529742207" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/528376/PeerTube-Federation-1529742207.png"></p><p> </p><p>So here we are: <strong>PeerTube v1 <em>will</em> release on October 2018... but which kind of v1?</strong> It's all in the hands of each and every one of us.</p><p> </p><p>With all our gratitude and datalove,</p><p> </p><p>The Framasoft team.</p>
