SILENT STRUGGLE

<p>Let me first introduce myself : Clara Achard, young photographer passionate about photography since my childhood. As a final year student at the Condé school in Paris, I am now going to talk to you about <strong>my graduation project</strong>, this big moment which is, for me, the culmination of all these years of work.</p>

<p><strong>Why this fund ? </strong></p>
<p>I am asking you today to help me finance my first exhibition, which will be held <strong>on June 27, 2019 in Paris</strong>. Of course, you are invited !</p>

<p><strong>THE PROJECT </strong></p>
<p>Thanks to my studies, I decided to move towards the world of fashion photography. The aesthetic functions, the relationship between the clothes and the model, the general context in which both are part of and of course, the inspiration and the creations on the contemporary society, amazed me very quickly. For me, this style of photography allows to show the stylistic evolutions but also to translate into narrative our dreams and our most personal obsessions. <strong>Therefore, clothes became an additional element that allows us to interpret a scene, a story.</strong></p>

<p>Thus, my reflection of the year talks about the <strong>place between staging and narration in fashion photography</strong>. Through this project and by a photographic series, I am trying to demonstrate the influence that staging can have on our perception and our understanding; which includes elements like the choice of the composition, the aesthetics , light, color, style or characters. </p>

<h4><strong>Narration </strong></h4>
<p><em>« silent struggle »</em> is therefore a series questioning <strong>the relationships we have with others and ourselves</strong>, dealing with topics such as complicity, jealousy, loneliness, visible and invisible links.</p>
<p><strong>My work must tell a story</strong>. To do this, I wrote a script with three characters : <strong>Helena</strong>, <strong>Emily</strong> and <strong>Paola</strong>.</p>

<p>This work is a big project that includes <strong>writing a memoir</strong>, <strong>producing a photographic series</strong>,<strong> producing a book</strong> and <strong>organizing an exhibition</strong> within the school. Nevertheless, this requires a big budget. That's why I'm asking for your help today. All this being very expensive, I count on your generosity to help me make this photographic research real. If you are interested in this project, you can help me with small, medium or large donation.</p>

<p><strong>The funding will be used to achieve 4 major milestones : </strong></p>
<p><em>- The creation of images</em> (styling, accessories, rental, housing ...).</p>
<p><em>- The exhibition of these images</em> (several large-format prints and the purchase of objects for the scenography).</p>
<p><em>- The purchase and production of a book. </em></p>
<p><em>- The printing of a memoir in several copies.</em></p>
