Sous La Brèche

After presenting my first piece in Canada, France, Cyprus and Dominican Republic, i am diving as a chorographer but also as a dancer in this new solo called Under The Breach. <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/565238/DSC00219-1547861297.jpg" width="100%" /> Credit : David Wong Under the breach it is an enigmatic space bringing into light or darkens the dancer…fragments of portraits all in black and white contrasts, Under The Breach univeils body memory. Returning to the self, eyes closed, eyes faded, eyes masked, with small movements and small gestures, filled with care and fumbling, appearing to be hermetically closed to the exterior world, and the being is slowly becomes aware of itself and space embodying organic and franctic movement. As it can be read as a cyclical everyday ritual, Under the Breach is sensorial and raw. ‘it is about burying, peeling and revealing’. By exposing multiple faces and stories, at once animal, city dweller or hybride, the piece gets, along the scenes, poetic and tragic, just like a myth. Between exposure and  inwardness, this new piece gravitates around dichotomy of the self, surface and abyss. In a blinded quest for perspicacity, he dives into the twists and turns of the body, searching for landmarks and balance. <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/565239/DSC00472-1547861446.jpg" width="100%" />Credit : David Wong This new creation is approx 45min and is put into light by Audrey Anne Bouchard and into music by DJ O'XL. <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/565240/DSC00198-1547861573.jpg" width="100%" />Credit : David Wong Under The Breach will be presented in Montréal at Maison de la Culture Marie Uguay on April 4th 2019 àat 7.30pm. This creation received residencies from Maison de la culture Marie-Uguay and also Rosemont Petite Patrie,'Ecole de Dance Contemporaine de Montréal but also Circuit-Est Centre Chorégraphique. Unfortunately the project didnt receive any financial support from governements. This is one of the reason i am reaching out to you, so by participating financially to the creation, you will make it possible to present it as it is planned. <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/565241/DSC00061-1547861939.jpg" width="100%" />Credit : David Wong

Allocation of funds

The total amount of the funding will be used to remunerate the collaborators, lighting designer Audrey-Anne Bouchard, composer DJ O'XL, video team Flamant, photographer David Wong for their time, work and talent during the creation process. Thus 100% of the support goes to the artists that will make possible this show to be shown on stage. It will also give a futur to the piece, as i am already working hard in approaching presenter for futur performances.
