Katrina

Lorient, France

After discovering her passion for sailing at high school, Katrina’s done everything she can to be involved in the sport. Ever since her first offshore race, she has had a goal - solo ocean racing! Armed with a Sports Management degree, Katrina has travelled the world to gain skills and experience to help her reach her goal. She has worked on Americas Cup yachts in Mexico, delivered yachts in Europe and across the Atlantic, completed yacht refits as well as working as a charter race skipper in the UK. Over two years, Katrina has worked for professional short handed IMOCA 60 and Class 40 teams, to learn more about high performance racing and campaign management. Having identified the Mini Transat as a gateway to solo ocean racing, Katrina set out to get experience in the class and raced double handed in 2012. Minis are high performance racing machines packed into a pocket sized punch!
