Urban Balkan Project

Created in november 2011 by three french geographers and town-planners, the association Urban Balkan conducts some work about the mutation of urban practices and representations in the countries of Eastern Europe. Its goal is to create an exchange of practices between the local players (researchers, associations, citizens, town-planners, politicians) from different european nationalities. Its members : Sindy Quéré, 24 years old, graduated from the University of Bordeaux 3 in Local management of sustainable development. « I'm a specialist of the new models of governance and of the local development of the social and solidarity economy. » Guillaume Lebon, 24 years old, graduated from the University of Bordeaux 3 in Territorial geography, development and culture. « I focus my scientific researches on social and spatial appropriation of spaces and the merchandising of the city. » Bénédicte Vacquerel, 25 years old, graduated from the Institut d'Urbanisme de Paris. « Specialist in management of urban renewal projects, my fields of study are fringes of the cities (individual housing, jails and malls.)
