Imagine a whole country inhabited with nomads... Imagine a nomad spirit which animates a city of a million people... As many other countries, nowadays Mongolia goes into modernity and try to keep its identity into the new world. I need you to talk about it.

The project

This is a documentary that will be completely dedicated to nomadic people, who nowadays goes into modernity. Above all those people seek to keep its nomads identity into the new world

This documentary will take us throughout several parts of the country, known for its steppes and the lifestyle of its inhabitants.

However today this lifestyle is in complete transformation,  half of the Mongolian population lives in cities, Mongolia is modernizing.

This documentary will take us through a journey  to discover how the Western world influenced slowly a country with strong traditions. How can a country in deep communion with its environment, in a few years became an open air factory to extract precious rocks from its soil.

This video documentary is initially devoted to the people of Mongolia and especially to the youth which represents the future of the country. I want them to get a message to tackle the new millennium and to enter into modernity without losing the Mongolian identity and its traditions.

The film is going into be in 3 acts.

First of all, we are going to be taken throught the land of Mongolia, the steppes, the mountains, the lakes, the beauties of this country. We will meet some families of nomads, we'll also meet their traditionnal way of life. Their work under the gers and as helders.

Then the film is going to take us to what makes modernization nowadays in Mongolia. We are going to see how Mongolia change its own environment and its own way of living. With some mining companies and the life of Mongolian in the cities.

Finnally we are going travel accross the Mongolian cities and the land to see the consequences of it.
