Let's create together the very first Web 2.0 Eurovision: the EuroMusic Contest.

The project

The EuroMusic Contest is a non-institutional music competition based on innovative technologies and open to all European musicians, a Web 2.0 Eurovision. A first edition of the EuroMusic Contest had already been organised in 2011, in 28 countries and in partnership with SoundCloud, and had generated more than 110 000 votes and attracted 2 200 artists.

For the 2014 edition, the contest will be open to the 40 participating countries*. This competition provided with an on-line voting system will allow every Internet user to participate in the selection of the finalist musicians or bands. Synchronised with social network Facebook, the contest will be the world’s first both numerical and viral musical competition and will promote the emergent music scene as well as the inter-cultural exchange.

After a first two-month voting campaign (March-April 2014), 1 artist/band per country will be selected. In May 2014, ten of them will be chosen by a jury composed of music industry professionals to represent their respective countries during the EuroMusic Live, a final event that will be streamed live from Paris in June 2014. During the EuroMusic Live the public can vote in real time on the live-streaming page for their favorite artists.

We’ve already financed and designed the ergonomic EuroMusic Contest website that will host the live streaming of the EuroMusic Live, built the online voting system synchronised with social networks and worked on a transmedia communication strategy.

Today we are launching this one-month KissKissBankBank campaign to raise funds for the EuroMusic Live. We want to propose something else, something more, in accordance with the numerical world we are living in BUT are independent. We therefore are not supported by any institution or giant label and NEED YOU to gather funds so we have the capital to put it out with great bands.

My Band Market has designed the ergonomic EuroMusic Contest website that will host the live streaming of the EuroMusic Live. At the cutting edge of technology, it has been built one hundred percent with new technologies:

Why fund it?

After the three-month online competition, the 10 finalists selected by the European public and Internet users will perform in Paris in May 2014.

The EuroMusic Live will take place at the Cigale with a standing capacity of 1000 located in the heart of Pigalle. It will be streamed live from the EuroMusic Contest homepage and broadcasted in 140 countries.

The live-streaming will be open with no obligation for payment. Each artist/band will perform two original titles on stage to convince the public to vote for him/them via the live streaming page and the ‘Vote with Facebook’ system.

This campaign has a fund-raising goal of €8,000.

If the starting goal is exceeded, an EuroMusic Tour will be organised in the following cities :  Barcelona, Milan, Berlin, Brussels, London, Glasgow, Dublin, Moscow... One date in a concert hall with a standing capacity of 600 to 1000 will be funded for every €8,000 raised above the goal. Once the campaign off and if the starting goal is exceeded, we will organise a vote for you to choose the cities in which you would like to see the finalists perform. If the EuroMusic Tour is organised, the ten finalists could perform in Europe by the end of 2014.

This funding will be used for:

. Management board, lights and sound, and staff’s wages

. Flights and train tickets for the artists

. Rental Cars

. Gasoline

. Insurance

. Emergency Fund

. KissKissBankBank + Postage fees
