A festival created by women, for women. Two days of sharing, discovery and recharging of batteries. Please support us - we're worth it!

The project

We are convinced of the amazing capacity of women to connect with and support one another, regardless of their age or background. We believe in the necessity for women to work together to create a fairer society. During the festival, we do everything we can to make sure that every woman feels welcomed with warmth and simplicity so that she feels she's coming home.

As soon as a woman arrives at the festival, we offer her The FEMINAISSANCE COCKTAIL : a subtle blend of time to oneself and time in a group, an alliance between sharing with other women and being able to centre in on herself.

The Féminaissance festival is open to women of all ages, from all social and professional backgrounds, regardless of their origins. The project is transversal, promoting social and generational diversity. Our goal is to see women going beyond their differences, exchanging, drawing on their individual qualities, before returning to their daily lives, richer from all of these new connections.

Finding time in our daily lives to connect - with ourselves and with others - can sometimes be tricky. The festival provides an opportunity for those connections.

... opportunities to try new things : workshops given by amazing teachers make up the bulk of the programme : dance, yoga, voice-work, creativity workshops and more, a wide range of opportunities to try out different techniques of well-being and self-expression.

...individual sessions : since June 2013, we've had an 'off Féminaissance' : massages, body painting, astrological readings, makeovers, dance, musical meditation… One-on-one time with a professional so that eveyone walks away feeling personally pampered!

...the Saturday night : party time, with entertainment provided by local and regional artists and performers.

...«The Salon des Femmes» : a powerful time where women get to meet one another as though they had all stepped into a giant living room, over a cup of tea and a book, swapping ideas and stories, confidences and life experiences. Sometimes it's enough just to sit or lie down, breathe, process and recharge batteries.

Féminaissance asks this question : what does it mean to be a womajn in the 21st Century? What has been passed down to us as women? What do our ideas have in common but also, what unique responses does each of us give to these questions?

The different activities on offer during the festival enable each woman to explore these questions in a very real way, learning to live better, to feel better in ourselves as women, happy in our singularity, happy to be connected to so many other women like us.

Through this festival, we wish to promote women's initiatives. Those who run workshops can benefit from greater exposure enabling to develop their professional networks.

We also invite creators, craftswomen, artists and business-owners working on projects that are coherent with our values : natural materials, respect for the environment, products and objects encouraging women to take care of themselves

We organise two editions of the festival each year in the Rhône-Alpes region : the first weekend in December and the first weekend in June.

Why fund it?

The funds we raise will enable us to cover the costs of the next edition of the festival : venue rental, fees for those giving workshops, communication, insurance, purchase of materials, some payment for the organisers.

Succeeding with this crowdfunding will ensure that the festival can continue from year to year.

Féminaissance came into being in November 2011 and will be coming up to its 5th edition this June. We created the association Féminaissance to support the festival. There are four committed, passionate organisers... who work for nothing!

We hope to get more and more women from all different walks of life, women of all ages, to try our special revitalising cocktail, designed specially for them!

In order to keep the festival accessible, it's important that the cost of the weekend remains as low as possible. Your contribution will help us to maintain this accessibility

The Féminaissance festival came into being in November 2011, when two women, Laurence Verrier and Jacqui Riquez met and decided to create a festival together. Today, we're working on the 5th and 6th editions of the festival and it is a great joy to be able to share these powerful moments of connection with so many new women.
