During the residency, the architects of l’Escaut will be invited to interact with the current creations. Performance Art constantly tests the presence and its limits in the physical and social environments. This practice connects action to shape, the short-lived event to the implanting as the visual echo of a flash in a space. The architecture shapes the volume for our bodies and activities stimulating our senses and perceptions. The architecture can be alive as the continuation of the body. These spaces resound in us as we resound in them.
An educational space will evolve during the residence in several meetings between the artists and students from the Art Schools La Cambre and ESA LE75. A space of reflection open to the public will take place in the form of a day of study animated by Pablo Alvez, artist in performance, doctor in economy of the poverty and student at the Art doctoral School ED20 of the Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles.
We also want FLUCTU to be a space of research and elaboration where are going to meet artists, cultural actors, students and local residents of any social sphere around a constant concern: our spaces to be.
Why call on you ? Because without public there is no Performance!
Your presence is going to give sense to FLUCTU. Performance is the Art of each of us with a free access.
After organizing several projects without budget, I want to recognize the artists' work and my curational work by a minimal financial fray. Performance Art is a passionate and fascinating practice as soon as we get involved in it. By supporting this project you feed this singular commitment.
