It will participate in the Red Corner Film Festival, which will take place in Malta in April. Besides, it has been preselected by two other film festivals.</p>

We are a few weeks away from completion! The music and sound effects have been made. The sound mixing will be done very shortly. As for the color timing, special effects and titles, they are under way. We are now in the home stretch!</p>

Plus que quelques semaines avant que « La Photographe » soit terminé ! La musique a été composée, le bruitage et le montage son effectués. Le mixage aura lieu très prochainement. Quant à l’étalonnage, les effets spéciaux et le titrage, ils sont en cours. C’est désormais la dernière ligne droite !</p>

« La Photographe » is now officially produced. Recently created by Bertrand and Laurent Normand, the film production company “Les Films du Jour Prochain” has just started its activity. Its first mission will be to produce “La Photographe” until completion.</p>
<p>
Jusqu’alors, « La Photographe », bien que tourné grâce à votre participation, n’était pas officiellement produit par une société de production. C’est désormais chose faite ! Créée récemment par Bertrand et Laurent Normand, « Les Films du Jour Prochain », vient de commencer son activité. Sa première mission va être de mener la production de « La Photographe » jusqu’à son terme.</p>

Be patient, the making of “La Photographe” is slowly progressing towards completion! After gathering feedback on the editing done in the spring, the director has decided to collaborate with an experienced editor in order to enhance it. To that end, he has chosen Manuel Pinto, the editor of « Ceci est mon Corps », « Demain dès l’Aube », « Dans sa Bulle » and « Mes Enfants ne sont pas comme les Autres ». After several weeks or re-editing and the filming of a few additional shots, the editing is now finalized and the duration of the film is eleven minutes. The next stage will be the creation of the music. Given the cost of the editorial and phonographic rights for the use of an existing music such as the one initially contemplated, other options have been considered. Lured by the idea of having an original soundtrack composed for the film, Bertrand Normand has finally decided to collaborate with a composer. The composition of the score is in progress…</p>

Encore un peu de patience, la fabrication de « La Photographe » s’achemine peu à peu vers son achèvement ! Après avoir recueilli des avis sur le montage au printemps dernier, le réalisateur a décidé de le peaufiner en confiant ce travail à un monteur chevronné. C’est à Manuel Pinto, monteur de « Ceci est mon Corps », « Demain dès l’Aube », « Dans sa Bulle » et « Mes Enfants ne sont pas comme les Autres » qu’il a choisi de faire appel. Après plusieurs semaines de remontage et le tournage de quelques plans supplémentaires, le film a enfin trouvé sa mouture définitive et dure onze minutes. La prochaine étape est la création de la musique. Compte tenu du coût des droits éditoriaux et phonographiques qu’aurait impliqué l’utilisation d’une musique préexistante telle que celle envisagée au départ, de surcroît séduit par l’idée de collaborer avec un compositeur en vue de créer une bande originale pour ce film, Bertrand Normand a finalement opté pour cette solution. La composition de la musique est actuellement en cours...</p>

Some news of “La Photographe”, a few months after the completion of principal photography. The editing is nearly finished and the sound design should start soon. The editing has turned out to be a big challenge because of the quantity of the footage (1600 video files!) and because of continuity problems due to the light and color variations induced by shooting over several autumns. Once the sound design is completed, we will proceed with the color timing, the special effects, the sound mixing and the titles. A few more months to wait, but for a result which should not disappoint you!</p>
<p>
Des nouvelles de "La Photographe", quelques mois après la fin du tournage. Le montage est désormais presque terminé et le travail de création sonore devrait bientôt commencer. Le montage a représenté un défi particulièrement important, en raison de la quantité de rushes filmés (1600 fichiers vidéo !) et des problèmes de continuité provenant des variations de lumière et des couleurs de la végétation dues à l'étalement du tournage sur plusieurs automnes. Une fois le travail de création sonore effectué, il restera encore l'étalonnage, les effets spéciaux, le mixage et le titrage. Quelques mois de plus à attendre, mais pour un résultat qui ne devrait pas vous décevoir !</p>
