The Heat is On - Second Tranche

Everyone is (still) talking about the need to plant more trees, in addition to preserving existing forests and woodlands. We need to double the number of trees on earth by a trillion, we are told. But how can this can be achieved in ways that secure a more harmonious relationship between humans and nature. One that fosters true abundance - and reverses the course towards extinction that many species, notably butterflies, are on. We want to highlight what is already being done with an example of independent woodland management in the UK. Consistent with other First Move Productions projects, we will feature individuals whose values and expertise are making a tangible difference, in the hope this will inspire others and prompt further dialogue or informed action. Best practices are already being implemented, new ideas are being tested, but relevant insights need to be shared more widely.

À quoi servira la collecte

The initial funds raised (First Tranche) allowed us to spend time on background research and preparations. We are now moving on to the next stage, namely preparing to film and produce our short documentary (subject to funds). The initial filming dates are set and we are activeley preparing to be on site with our crew and contributors. Watch this space.
