WE CAN DO IT!
BEFORE 11.30pm (+1 GMT)
Help us to create furniture that does not go to waste. One that adapts to your needs and can easily be passed on to somebody else if you don´t need it any more.
We are two students form ENSCI-les ateliers, interested in experimenting alternative ways of consuming.
The current way of buying rather cheap furniture and throwing it away after a few years of use did not really convince us.
But as not everyone wants to use their furniture their whole life or even reuse things you can find in the street,
We imagined to create a community, where self-created, simple furniture solutions could easily be built and shared.
The project Sticado is about getting you involved. Instead of being a consumer, we invite you to become the maker or even the designer of your own furniture.
Wooden sticks and simple screws available in every hardware store form the base of the system. Drilling holes with the help of our stencil will allow you to assemble them in many different ways. It will also allow you to add different parts like wooden planks, electronics to build lamps etc or reuse old pieces of furniture that you can find in the street.
This way, Sticado will stay an open system that you can build and experiment with.
As Sticado is not only about furniture, but rather about sharing and a different way of consuming and we would like to experience it with you.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to a one-day workshop in our school on the 22nd February in order to share our ideas and get to know yours!
We will provide a first batch of materials that you can purchase as our rewards in order to realize our tested furniture ideas or even your own creations.
Here´s what we suggest:
1. Sticado Clothes Rack Package - 15€
2. Sticado Lamp Package - 30€
3. Sticado Desk Package - 60€
4. Creative Package - 100€
After the workshop, you can stay in touch with the people you've met through (*via the / our) Sticado website.
Here, you can share materials which you no longer need or obtain additional parts from other members.
If you missed the campaign or cannot attend the workshop, no worries, instructions to build Sticado furniture are available here.
Of course, we need money to realize this project.
Here´s a little overview of the expenses we need to cover:
Testing and realizing first furniture examples and manuals:
Organisation of the workshop (apéro etc.):
Material for the rewards/workshop:
Creation of the Website:
KissKissBankBank Share of 5%:
As you might have noticed, most of the money we ask for is closely connected to the number of participants on our one-day workshop. This matches our personal goal: to find at least 35 people who like the idea and are willing to experiment and build an alternative way of consumption with us.
Of course, we are more than happy about every bit of help and every participant that goes beyond that goal!
