Vocal and instrumental danced duet, performance and installation. " Dis JAR, dis DINE, dis JARDINE, dis JARDIN D'IDEES "

The project

Jardin d'idées, ( Garden of ideas) is a choreographic, vocal and instrumental show and also a photographic and sound installation adapted to children and adults.

The project was built from early-learning musical and physical workshops conducted by Mathilde Vrignaud, at Maison du Bas Belleville in patnership with Mémoire de l'Avenir association. The work developed during the  workshops was thought as a first creation step where the body and its langages are set in motion. A presentation took place on February, 5th 2014.

Both the show and the installation highlight human beings regarding their connection with sound, visual and tactile materials.

The challenge is to allow the audience to be welcomed in a space-time highlighting the connections between the body and the mind.

Jardin d'idées# show

In the show version of Jardin d'idées#, the choreography composition mixes with the music composition. Poetic meeting, ec(h)osystem. Eye, skin, sound, air, breath, word, impluse, orientation, movement: this multi-disciplinary show plays with the bodies, voices, and instruments. Senses are the first creativity tool highlighting our subjective connection to the world. The show is about enabling the audience- childern and adults- to reach a certain attention and awareness of the senses.

Jardin d'idées# installation

In the installation version of Jardin d'idées#, the scenography of the show ( sound system and photographs) could be independent from the show version of Jardin d'idées#.

The path was thought in order to create interaction, to make sure that the audience takes part in the walk. The bodies of the members of the audience fill the air spaces left between the photographs of the bodies and sounds. The path is shared between the interpreters, the families, at the nursery, school, museum, garden, ect.
