1 goal achieved after 33 days of crowfunding!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone!
The Bureau de Mô will be able to grow efficient communication tools.
But that's not all folks!
We have until February the 3rd to go after that truck that will be used by all the artists of the Bureau, but also when available, by other local artists.
And as promised, your name, all your names will be on the truck!
Shall we do that thing?
Here is what I wrote on my Facebook profile three months ago :
"Okay buddies, we've got a problem, i'm facing a cruel dilemma. Let me explain it : The "Bureau de Mô", my little baby, manages and supervises artists supports artists I felt in love with. Do you copy me so far or do I have to spell it ? Those artists have plenty of projects. Beautiful projects of course... And finances... are what they are, even though I try, they always come down to zero.
So rather than harass you with 3 or 4 different crowdfunding campaigns, I've been planning for several months now to launch "the thing" on behalf of the "Bureau".
Basically: if you don't know who you sponsor, I do!
#AmIcrazyOrYouFollow ? "
You have been more than a hundred to answer positively to my post as wacky as me. You pushed me to go on and you gave me all your support.
So here we are my friends!
And as time brings all things to light, it allowed me to mature my thinking and I finally dare to push myself forward to claim: "In fact, this is MY project, Le Bureau de Mô, which needs your help to secure its position, keep on working and make my dear artists grow »
Le Bureau de Mô is barely one year and a half old, but my job in communications, development, management and tour management of artists started in 2000, at first with The Black And White Gospel Singers (Emmanuel Djob) and then with Ginkobiloba. I worked alongside many other artists of Languedoc-Roussillon (Marvellous Pig Noise, The SOUL Travelers Quartet, St Remy, Dimoné, Nada Roots, Lena and The Deep Soul )... but also with some artists coming from other regions of France (Stéphane Corbin, Camel Arioui, Gerald Toto ...).
Some artists have experienced success, others chose to entrust their career to another professional environment, and some have not yet taken off.
Le Bureau de Mô, that's actually me.
After running and hurdling (always 10 hurdles , it was a habit...) all over France and the whole world, I "laid down my weapons" in 1996, right after the Atlanta Olympic Games, wondering if I could pass my experience to people but not around sport. When you've spent twenty years in sport, you just want to change, don't you think?).
As I have been myself accompanied, advised, coached and sponsored for years by great specialists, I wanted to dedicate myself to those that touch my heart and my ears, these artists who touch me musically and personally.
And despite the good pieces of advice of those telling me that i should keep my distance, and that it takes all sorts to make a world, I didn't care!
I have to love those fools, otherwise I do not know how to represent them.
I have to love them, otherwise I do not know how to shout at them when needed.
I have to love them, otherwise I do not know how to show them the way.
I have to love them, otherwise I do not know how to push them forward.
I have to love them to experience the adrenaline shot when they have great gigs (the same old good adrenaline I experienced when I was hurdling).
I have to love them, otherwise I do not know how I could hit the road (again) in a truck with screaming, snoring and sometimes stinking feet singing madmen.
Anyway, today I run after concert programmers and I try myself at discuss throwing. It's a recycling as another, isn't it ?...
About the artists of Le Bureau...
In 2015 (and more if there is chemistry...), you can find in Le Bureau various styles of music such as contemporary Gospel with Fredl Gospel, voodoo-blues & rap music with Kussay and The Smokes, pop-folk with Heart Of Wolves, powerful songs with the Flow and Marianne AyaOmac.
For some people, Le Bureau de Mô only handles communication, for others it is about management, tour management or development.
Le Bureau de Mô is multi-caps, multi-artists. I rely on my experiences, the good ones as the bad ones, to keep on the way that seems to be mine. I set the artists that I like on the right track and I help the development of those already settled.
Even though, it is not easy as a pie. It is difficult, sometimes thankless. After a long time in the shadow working and relying on my own financial resources, it is now time for me to enter the light and promote Le Bureau de Mô at least as much as I promote the artists themselves.
I want to see my little “Bureau” grow alongside the artists it represents as much as I want them to build a solid and successful career with the support of their favorite "Bureau". I want the success of one to impact the success of the others. And I want each part of the work to be equally rewarded.
That is why I am already thinking further: our long-term project is to turn Le Bureau de Mô into a worker cooperative (SCOP) involving artists, tour managers, a graphic designer, a press attaché, an accountant and a production office.
Nothing less :)
