EuroPie, The Festi-Forum of Alternatives, is an initiative from EYES (Empowering Youth in European Society), a network of European citizens whose goal is to strengthen the active role of youth as an actor in civil society.
EYES, an open network built by and for young people, impliments its own seminars, meetings, campaigns and public actions in order to achieve its objectives. "EYES is born from the strength and will of young people who want to be actors rather than just observers in soceity. Because we want to participate in decisions and actions that affect our lives and society as a whole. Because we understand that alone we will achieve nothing. "
EuroPie is supported by a group of associations including Les Petits Débrouillards, The foundation France Liberté, Bizi! and Les Eco-liés, who also support the EYES network.
All around us we can see that the world is on the move. From the Greek Debt Audit campaigns to the growing transition network, from the Occupy movement to the many local and international NGOs; civil societies are rising up across the world to reclaim political power. But as important as it is to act locally where we live, we also cannot forget the importance of becoming visible and acting collectively on a larger scale.
Let's come together to design, share and implement the alternatives we envision. We are seeing the beginning of a Europe where ecological sustainability, solidarity and social justice are fundamental principles. We all recognise the need for an economic and political system that respects planetary boundaries, as well as the need for a safe and just space for humanity to exist on equal terms, both with each other and the Earth as a whole.
Three days of EuroPie what can you expect?? There are three days of forum, three days of expositions, movies, animations, concerts... with young people and associations coming from all around the Europe. This is also a festi-forum which is 100% being built by volunteers, 100% self-managed and eco friendly.

EuroPie is a 100% voluntary Festi-Forum which is based on the principles of auto-management and eco awarness.
The Festi-Forum will be an open space, co-built in the spirit of democracy, participative inclusiveness and horizontality, suggesting a variety of activities to allow the strengthening of the solidarity in Europe. Almost all part of the work for this event will be organized by volunteers. Gathering around the spirit of being a volunteer, people of different origins and cultures will gather in a communal atmosphere in the spirit of sharing and exachanging during the event. This process raises the ideas of taking responsibility and of the empowerment of youth.
The principles of an eco-fectival are:
Slow-food meals with a low price, with ingredients which are locally sourced and in season
Collective self run kitchen
Market of the local producers every day on the site
Not selling bottles of water
Self-managed camping with free participation
Selective sorting, Composting.
The Festi-Forum takes place on the Green Base Argoulets. We are designing the site in five main areas: A forum space: with workshops, debates and conferences A communal space: meals, chill-out and stage platform under a tent A living space: camping, self-managed kitchen, outdoor market of the local farmers A concert space: scene with bar, music An organizational space: for volunteers and organizers.
