We offer original horseback journeys in Cappadocia (Turkey) to discover a different culture and breathtaking landscapes.

The project

The Meltem horses : a receptive horse riding tourism agency based in Mustafapasa in Turkey (UNESCO classified site), in Cappadocia (The land of beautiful horses in Turkish) to offer horseback journeys.

The idea was born when we, Emilie & Maïwenn, decided to travel together to Cappadocia (Turkey) 4 years ago.

Both passionate about travelling, Maïwenn is fond of horses and Emilie is coming from the tourism sector.

We both literally felt in love with Cappadocia during our trip in Turkey in 2009, where we met trustful friends who gave us support to start our project.

The year we turned 30 years old has been the turning point, with a new trip to Turkey during which we met Hakki, a Turkish guy who is also in love with horses, and who would become our business partner.

The Meltem horses was born from our willingness to offer journeys to get people to know others cultures and different life styles.

We want to make these adventure trips in small groups to be as close as possible to people and nature. Our expertise leads us to offer a new approach to travel, that answers travellers' new expectations, founded on the search of liberty and meeting with others.

The Meltem horses has the ambition to give tourists the opportunity to travel differently, to feel unique, to have the feeling they are the first one to step on this land, to break routine, to change rhythm and evolve within breathtaking landscapes.

* Accommodation quality (family pensions and not impersonal hotels), activities and food quality

Why fund it?

We would like to reach a minimum amount of 5.000€ to buy equipment for the ranch, particularly saddlery : saddles, trappings, fillets, loins, helmets, chaps for a cavalry of 14 horses.

After 7 years working in Parisian communication agencies and a real crush for Cappadocia in 2006, we became partners to open a horse riding tourism agency in Cappadocia in 2014.
