Maylin is a singer-songwriter currently living in Paris.
She was formerly based in the US, where she founded her first band with guitarist Omar Torrez (Tom Waits) and percussionist David Leach (Ben Harper).
Her first album “On My Way To See You” was produced by Robin Di Maggio (Tracy Chapman, David Bowie, Steve Vai, etc…) and Baraka Di Candia (Sting).
The band promoted it in different festivals (SXSW in Austin, TX, PopKomm in Berlin, Germany), on indie and college radio stations in Canada, in California (KPFK, KXLU) and on the radio show " Voice of America".
She has been living in Paris since 2007 and has been performing with a trio (Kike Larrea, guitar; Pedro Bernales, percussions) or with a quintet (Julien Lallier, piano; Kike Larrea, guitar; Yesser oliveira, Pandeiro; Laure Trazzi, vocals) at venues and theaters such as The Sunset, Théâtre de la Reine Blanche, festival Kiosquorama.
Her musical style originally rooted in the Blues has evolved through the years into a subtle mix reclaiming themes of Folk music with poetry and mystery.
"This FUNDRAISING is aimed at recording my 2nd album.
It’s been way too long since the 1st one ( On My Way To See You, Nomaads 2005).
After much artistic soul searching, life–experiencing (one child later), I think it’s now time to capture the moment musically.
So: “Let’s Do This Thing!”
What is “This Thing”?
It’s a digital record with 8 original songs.
The songs are written and composed by: Maylin Pultar and friends such as Brice de Margerie, Alexandre Ignaczac.
It’s Folk music (Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Ray Lamontagne, Moriarty), or “Bohemian Folk” as I call it, since it has been traveling through other influences too."
