A surfing magazine? Yes, but no. After an 8-year break, Acid Magazine is finally relaunching with a new team. The core idea behind this annual print publication remains simple: explore trajectories to enrich surfing culture. A wide-open, imperfect and always unfinished encyclopaedia. Surfing seems too often stuck in its own conventional myths and stereotypes. We imagine Acid as a space for deconstruction and position-taking, highlighting those who take the risk of creating parallel imaginaries. Surfing as an excuse to talk about much more serious things. We strive to place surfing in its socio-economic, historical and cultural context. Surfing is, in truth, just a prism through which we observe society.
