After many amazing experiences, I am working on one beautiful campus and get involved in several solidarity actions in the community.</p> <p>  </p> <p> I am passionate about technology, sports and travel. Wishing to be involved 100% in the ADRA association, NEPAL project seemed obvious . The primary objective of this humanitarian mission is to work with developing communities near Kathmandu to create small changes that will last a lifetime.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p> A group of persons will be going to Nepal this September where volunteers will be able to fund and complete their own ADRA project! This will be a <strong>great experience</strong> for anyone who wants to see the work first hand, be <strong>actively involved </strong>and see some of the best sights the world has to offer! The project involves t<strong>he refurbishment of a library at an impoverished primary/secondary school</strong> near Kathmandu.  </p> <p>  </p> <p> The trip is between <a><strong>September 6th - 16th</strong>.</a>The beginning of the trip will be spent on the ADRA project (building, renovating etc with local workers) and then to discover a part of the country by sharing with the local people.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="2-1428258312" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/182771/2-1428258312.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <u><strong>WHAT IS ADRA?</strong></u></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Adra-logo-1428258533" height="131" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/182772/adra-logo-1428258533.jpg" width="125"></p> <p> <strong>The Adventist Development and Relief Agency </strong>(ADRA) was started by the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a way to follow Christ’s example of serving and caring for those in need. Put simply, ADRA i<strong>mproves the lives of people around the world</strong>. The agency searches out <strong>deprivation</strong>, <strong>social injustice</strong>, and <strong>need</strong>—then works <u>to eliminate them</u>. ADRA invests in the potential of individuals through <strong>advocacy, supporting families, promoting health, providing food and water, establishing livelihoods, and responding to emergencies.</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> ADRA seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. The agency’s work seeks to improve the quality of life of those in need. ADRA invests in the potential of these individuals through community development initiatives targeting <strong>Food Security</strong>, <strong>Economic Development</strong>, <strong>Primary Health </strong>and <strong>Basic Education</strong>. Genuine roof of the world , the country is home to the mythical mountains that are Everest and Annapurna. When that day dawns , the tops painted by the sun shades , unveil breathtaking panoramas .</p> <p>  </p> <p> Nepalese legendary hospitality that will always be there to tell you your way and welcome you into their home as a friend.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <u><strong>SITUATION:</strong></u></p> <p>  </p> <p> However, among the cities of less than one million inhabitants, <strong>Kathmandu</strong> has been classified by the WHO (World Health Organization) as <u>the most polluted</u> city in the world. <u>Vandalism</u>, scourge in Nepal. The looting of merchants and tourists <u>unscrupulous</u> jeopardize the architectural heritage of the wild Katmandou.<u>The unplanned urbanization</u> and <u>lack of resources</u>.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> That is why it is time to say <strong>ACTION</strong>!</p>
