AZMARI - Premier Album
AZMARI - Premier Album
After two EPs and thousands of hours of rehearsal, litters of sweat and many concerts in Belgium, Berlin and Istanbul, the musical project launched four years ago finally takes the path of the studio!
Created in Brussels in 2014, Azmari is a great journey between ethiogroove and afrobeat, oriental sounds and asymmetric rhythmic. It is a captivating music that will transport you into a vibrant and transcendental experience.
The six musicians who make up the band have made the bet to record and produce an album thanks to you! A first crazy night had already allowed us to raise enough money to rent a studio and the necessary equipment for the recording, thanks already to all those who were there and participated! The songs are now recorded, the record is ready to go out but we still need a little support. We are missing the funds to cover the costs for the release of the long-awaited album! For your pleasure we will also bring out vinyls and make it an object of beauty, a diabolical record that will become your breakfast, accompany your coffees and your Sundays, an object that will plunge you into moments of ecstasy.
Who is hiding behind Azmari:
In the section chordophone, we have Niels D'Haegeleer, the bassist who rises to dizzying heights (more than 2000 cm) and with mesmerizing pulsations.
Arthur Ancion, the Dad, the drummer with wild rhythms and golden mustache.
Jean-Georges Demeijer, aka Jojo, the grandpa, the percussionist who collects the hats and the bizarre instruments, the bells and the vinyls, the most classy man of the world.
In the section of the wind, the youngest of the crew, Mattéo Badet, tenor sax and baritone, a true wizard of the breath.
We also have the baron, Yohan Dumas on the alto sax and the flute, the pirate facing the mistral.
And to complete the team, the wisp of the band, Basile Bourtembourg the sultan with silver fingers, keyboard and tiger balm.
