Now, though, all of those places are gone&hellip;</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/562152/35213768_1544372962331052_r-1546337259.jpeg" width="100%" /></p> <p>Then, two years ago, we - a pair of Canadians, one music scholar and historian and one musician&nbsp;- moved to Dussac and opened the Bar &agrave; Bi&egrave;res Dussac.&nbsp;</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/562153/45660973_916404715417389_2373483242272587776_o-1546337379.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <p>The bar was pretty small to start out, but we met brewers whose beer we loved, who loved that we were the only local craft beer bar in the region -&nbsp;and of course, the community loved having a place to meet for a drink. For the summer of 2017, we served the community happily and with pride. We made big plans for the future - to expand the bar space, host live music events, lectures on history and culture, art exhibitions, and make over our space into a cultural hub for the people of the area, and attract visitors to the P&eacute;rigord Vert.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Now, though, we have a problem. The barn in which we built our beloved bar has a wall that is becoming more and more structurally unsound, which has made the roof unstable as well. Until we take down the wall, rebuild it, and replace the roof, the bar must remain closed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>There&rsquo;s still hope&hellip; but we need your help. If you can contribute even a little bit to this campaign, every little bit of help will add up, and we can save the bar and work toward our future, together.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Phases of the project:</p> <p>Phase 1: Jan/Feb 2019 - architect and engineer plans undertaken and finalised</p> <p>Phase 2: Apr 2019 - work commences: scaffolding, removal of roof tiles, demolition of existing wall, rebuilding of new wall, and installation of new roof</p>
