AROUND THE SITE The construction site is in Kapkowmboloi, near Sipi Falls. In this rocky area we can found the Mount Elgon national park, one of the older mountain of Africa. SEVENTH CONSTRUCTION STAGE: Fencing preparation Off the bridge, we have uncoiled the fencing and attached it to the wooden curbs with u-nails. Multiple rolls of fencing is required on the both side of the bridge with a total of 80m in length. Insert of the suspenders into the interior predrilled holes. Bent the both short end of the suspenders to fixed it, and launch the swing along the cables. Using the marks place on the wood crossbeam, place the center board first. Continue to align the edgeboards with the middle one in order to complete the full width of the deck. Great pleasure for the Team to be here and help in the construction of the Bridge. Each morning, the working day begin by a warm-up plus a briefing on tasks. First, some marks have been traced on the timber nailer in order to align the steel cross beam on it. After that, we have done a pre-drilling for precisely centered each fixing holes. Yesterday night, all Travel Team safely arrived in Kampala City. After a relatively short resting period, all members get a nice meeting breakfast with B2P staff in order to schedule our first journey of preparation. <img alt="Img_20190113_225301-1547409453" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/564210/IMG_20190113_225301-1547409453.jpg"> Once completed food accommodations for site, we road tripped to Crow's Nest place! More than 6 hours of driving was required to complete the 300km. On the road, we saw many cane sugar plantations, sometimes encountered congestion and across more than 20 towns and villages.
