Cialyn
Cialyn is the analog electronic music project created by Alain Pachins in 2015. CIALYN's music is essentially based on the processing and creation of sounds through old analog devices (analog synthesizers, magnetic tapes, vinyl turntables...) all in the service of compositions with multiple influences ranging from TV and Radio-Diffusion with composers like Alan Feanch or Cécile Warry, up to new electronic music movements inspired by Tangerine Dream, Ulrich Schnauss and borrowing the aesthetic of band like Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Lorn or Disasterpeace. CIALYN strives to develop a "Pastoral Electronic Music" that could fit into the artistic movement of Hauntology In eight years of existence, 18 albums in dematerialized versions have been produced and, for the moment, no CD release has yet been produced. (All CIALYN's Album available on Bandcamp : https://cialyn.bandcamp.com/ ) At the end of these eight years, it is now time for Cialyn to present its first physical album release. this Album is not only a new album, but a celebration of its eight years which, in addition to new sounds, will contain remixes and re-recordings. All packaged in 3 panels Digipack with a 8 pages Booklet with illustration. (For all exports from France to the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia please be sure to consider the shipping costs). Especially for the occasion, the EP "Some Leftover Tunes" (2018) will be the subject of a numbered Limited Edition in Audio Cassette in 50 copies. Who am I ? My name is Alain Pachins, illustrator and graphic designer by profession, I have been interested in the arts and music for a long time by practicing mainly folk, medieval and traditional music to then return to my first childhood emotions: Synthesizers music by Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Mike Olfield or Alan Parsons, but also the music that opened the cartoons and TV shows that marked our young years. It was while discovering the Boards of Canada albums that the Cialyn project was born. the first listenings and the creativity of this Scottish duo convinced me immediately and made me want to try my hand at electronic music borrowed from uninhibited nostalgia which idealizes a past that never really existed...
Allocation of funds
the purpose of this fundraiser is, at least, to collect the necessary amount for the mastering and pressing of a CD (500 copies minimum). All presented in a magnificent 3 panels Digipack with a 8-page of illustrations booklet. 100 copies of the CD would be enough to reach this stage. But, if the necessary amount is exceeded, then, it would be possible to consider an analog release on vinyl: - If at least 200 copies are sold (i.e. 3000€ raised ), a 33 rpm vinyl album could become possible: it would be a kind of compilation of the "Cialyn Classics" From 220 copies sold (or, 3300 € raised): the new album "sunbelievers hideaway" on double 33rpm vinyl in a "Gatefold" becomes possible! Beyond 350 copies (5000€ collected), Then the two 33 rpm vinyl projects ("Cialyn Classics", and "Sunbelievers Hideaway") become simultaneously feasible at least in 100 copies each! As you will have understood... it will be our ability to come together that will make these projects feasible and available. So, share this page with your entourage and on your social networks. Thanks! let's join !
