<p> <strong>Do you think high-end fashion can be functional? </strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Our creative-process begins when high-end fashion has a <strong><em>functionality</em></strong>. Andrew, our copywriter, had a question 'Can there be a T-Shirt that I could wear during the day but also wear when I go out that will express my creativity?' That is the design or function of the product. After the function of the article is determined Shih- Shun, our head of design, gives form to the T-shirt. Salmon skin became the material and the colors black and white. The end result is an 'Icelandic washable salmon skin trim T-Shirt'. To do this socially we need to communicate with our customers. Someone asks, <strong>'How can fashion be pragmatic?' and DAMUR solves it. </strong>This is how our collections are born. We want fashion to complement, support, and empower our life.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The design imperative of our reversible bag was: Make a leather bag that could be carried in the rain. Imagine you walked into a Café on a clear Spring day. While you drink a Latte Macchiato dark clouds suddenly gather and it pours. "Damn!" you think to yourself, "I took my leather bag." Instead of waiting out the rain you can turn your DAMUR reversible bag inside out. The rain is no problem now!</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>We’re going to start a social fashion brand. Many companies today value transparency and communication with their customers. This movement is now coming to the fashion industry. We push it further.</p> <p>  </p> <p> DAMUR offers a new alternative in the fashion industry. Mostly, designers can be insulated, at DAMUR we are very open. We want our faces seen and our voices heard. 'surreal pragmatism'. Plainly said, connecting things that are usually separated. We need to wear clothes but we also need to dream. In respect to our fashion it results in unique clothes that are practical. Our one-of-a-kind creative process is inspired by surreal pragmatism. As a result we have an endless amount of ideas. Some of which are being worn today.</p> <p>  </p> <p> In the beginning the DAMUR team was only two people. Today we have grown to nine members with an international multi-culture background. However, we all agree on one point: Fashion is teamwork, an open field for discussion and creation, sharing ideas and listening to each other. That's what motivates us to develop DAMUR every day. We strongly believe that the creative process should to be open. Yes, we do have more and more fashion companies who have a transparent production process. Yes, we do have the ECO fashion trend and brands growing year by year.</p> <p>  </p> <p> So, what exactly is helping the fashion industry become more human? Unfortunately we don’t see any idea that is actually working, ... yet. </p> <p>  </p> <p> 5. On our social platform, you can easily follow DAMUR and collaborating companies for a better fashion/creative working environment.</p> <p>  </p> <p> 6. We promote qualified production companies, suppliers, tailors, designers, photographers, etc. and we grow up together.

And here today, we invite you to be a part of us, to join this defining moment</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>About DAMUR’s social platform </strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> To close the gap between the brand and its customers, we <em>had </em>to include the customer in our creative process. For managing this process we use elements from Agile software development methodologies. We find it smarter than traditional fashion business development methodologies. With our social platform we selected suitable tools which support those methods. DAMUR is currently using Trello to manage all internal communication, including our creative process.</p> <p>  </p> <p> On Trello we can easily have discussions about our projects, be more efficient and pragmatically organize our daily tasks with all the team members. We are going to multinational facilities in Europe and looking for small manufactures. The know-how of these manufactures is incredible and deserves to be preserved. I have been in the production business for 25 years. Before I became a tailor, I was controlling the quality of ship construction. However my passion for clothes was stronger than my studied profession.
