Domaine Bliemerose, operation Les Solidaires
The vineyard, the wine, for you, for us, for everyone !New Goal 400%
Domaine Bliemerose, operation Les Solidaires
The bottles aren't full! We still need you: support, contribute, share, create a buzz!
We're counting on you!
The Domain and its project:
As spring appears, we all feel the need to emerge from our winter shelters and revel in nature’s renewal…. even if it might not be quite legal yet.
Hello, my name is Carmelle, Owner and Winemaker at Domaine Bliemerose, a small family-owned winery. We are certified organic, and in conversion to biodynamics. At the domaine, you will also meet Carine and Anthony as well as Thibault, Marie-Marthe and Xavier. We are nestled in the heart of Alsace, one of the French regions that has suffered the most during the Covid-19 pandemic. Like many in our region, our winery is facing its own mortality due to the current the economic crisis. Yet, wine is something that connects us, and a glass shared among friends is an apt symbol for the burgeoning sensation of cooperation and solidarity that is arising in response to these times. We are all in this together, and in this spirit, we are launching a new, innovative operation “Les Solidaires” (Solidarity).
Les Solidaires initiative:
Via this crowdfunding initiative using a pledge and reward system, we consider «Les Solidaires» an invitation for you to enjoy the charms of the Alsatian Heritage while supporting local viticulture and a commitment to community. Today, we propose that you, a concerned citizen and lover of tradition, support us and join the «Les Solidaires» movement with just a few clicks. In so doing:
You will support the local economy, small scale, organic agriculture, and directly back a producer with a strong attachment to her land. She asks for your interest and your generosity so she can continue her savoir-faire and perpetuate the quintessential French lifestyle.
You will contribute to the national effort by helping small associations resume or continue their activities. We will contribute to efforts that help the most fragile in the aftermath of the Coronavirus crisis. Ten percent of our sales (excluding shipping costs) will be donated to the Fondation de France.
Description of the Rewards: The vineyard and 4 unique wines
The Westerberg Grape is the most prestigious of our vines, and is grown on the best terroir of the village. It is a fitting symbol for the “Les Solidaires”. With a pledge at the level of “The vine of Solidarity”, your name, or the name of your choice, will be prominently displayed on a Westerberg vine. We will send you a photo and video of the vine bearing your name.
This opportunity to memorialize an unprecedented time in history is also an invitation to you to visit and be filmed with the vine you’ve supported, and more still…..
We invite you to come for the harvest, enjoy the good ambiance, the convivial nature of meals, and experience the pride and honor of putting the grapes from your vine directly into the press.
As a reward for your support, you will have the opportunity to treat yourself and others to four original vintages at a promotional price. With operation “Les Solidaires” four new wines from Domaine Bliemerose will be bottled, and are exclusive to this operation. We are pricing them lower than usual for the Domaine. Nonetheless, they adhere to our standards of passionate elaboration, beautiful balance, remarkable finesse and sustained elegance. The following vintages will be bottled thanks to your generosity and collective solidarity:
- Le Naturel: A dry, nature, white wine, unfiltered and sulphites-free, with captivating aromas and a striking finesse.
- Le Gewurztraminer: Demi-sec and very aromatic with sweet, floral, spicy and smooth notes.
- Le Feu d ’Artifice: White wine with a sensation of sweetness. The complex, multi-dimensional flavors sparkle and rise, swirling with the aromas into an explosion of tastes.
- Le Sylvaner: Dry white wine with a pleasing minerality and discrete notes of pine.
