Feÿ - Rencontres d'arts
Support the first edition of Feÿ - Rencontres d'arts: an artistic laboratory in Burgundy!
Feÿ - Rencontres d'arts
From October 5 to October 7, 2018, the historical Château du Feÿ becomes
Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts, a new creative and experimental platform just 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Paris. A three-day artistic laboratory, this multidisciplinary festival gathers about one hundred artists and presents their work in a unique, otherworldly environment. Cinema, publishing, music, gastronomy, performance and visual arts encounter one another to create an ephemeral village in the green hills of Burgundy.
Group show exhibiting the work of thirty international artists, both inside the castle and outdoors.
Screening of a selection of films throughout the day + special cinema sessions scheduled at the end of each day.
Selection of local organic wines and products in a tasting area + pop-up restaurant and culinary performances by high-end young chefs.
Reading area presenting a selection of art books, magazines and exclusive publications such as artist monographs and the festival’s catalogue.
Live performances throughout the three days + special playlists conceived by guest artists and broadcasted in several parts of the castle.
Dance, happenings and participatory performances organized throughout the weekend by guest artists.
The diverse programming aims to breath new life into the Château du Feÿ, a former residence of one of Louis XIII’s councillors. From its baroque interiors to its century-old trees, its vegetable garden, swimming pool, and its old bread oven, the château will serve as a creative and experimental playground for both artists and visitors. It is located just steps away from Joigny, a city renowned for its architecture (19 listed monuments), gastronomy and wine, and which is only 1 hour and 10 minutes away from Paris by train ( and 1h30 minutes by car.)
Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts is the first time ever that the castle will be open to the public. Our goal is to take this opportunity to create an experience for both art experts and newcomers to discover art pieces along with this magical place located in the heart of Jovinien - a community of municipalities that has been declared as presenting "economic and social difficulties" by the French administration since 2016. By partnering up with several local structures (shops, transport, accommodation, etc.), Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts wishes to participate in the revitalization of this region, and to feature the various initiatives and people there who support us day after day!
-> ARTS: Create a dialogue between different creative forms and practices through eclectic programming mixing renowned artists with emerging talents.
-> ENCOUNTERS: Bring a contemporary and international art scene to Burgundy to create encounters between artists and audiences of all ages hailing from different backgrounds.
-> HERITAGE: Rediscover the French heritage by creating a young cultural event in a historic home. Guided tours of the château will be offered during the festival.
Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts is the initiative of twenty young artists and art enthusiasts who all volunteered to create this new project.
About a year ago now, we decided to gather our strengths and skills to create a unique creative platform.
We decided to be ambitious by choosing to create a multidisciplinary event with talented artists whose work we greatly admire. Whether in cinema, contemporary art, music or gastronomy, our programmings are composed of both established artists and young talents to offer a quality overview of the contemporary art scene.

Waar dient de collecte voor
This festival was born from the desire to carry a project in a free and independent way, something today difficult for young artists.
It was also for us to finally open the doors of this historic monument to the public and to associate ourselves with a large number of local partners to work, on our scale, to revitalize the Jovinien. So we want to make this festival as collaborative as possible... and that's also why we call on you and this crowdfunding!
Whether in France or abroad through PAYPAL, help us climb reach our ambitions and offer you the artistic experience we have dreamed of:
-15K: The minimum necessary to shape the festival: technical equipment, generators, screens, projectors, insurance for the works... but also the work to transform the outbuildings of the castle into exhibition space + the undergrounds in projection room for an extraordinary cinematographic experience!
-20K: Cinema, music, art, but also gastronomy! A whole part of Feÿ's programming is dedicated to the culinary arts: help us bring quality products and ensure the best conditions for our chefs and their teams to concoct their creations! With 5 000 euros more, we will also be able to book shuttles between Joigny and the castle which will facilitate your transportation!
-25K: With 25 000 euros, you will allow us to bring works from abroad, to realize those especially conceived In situ but also to help cover the travel for certain visiting artists. This amount will help us to provide room and board to the artists, and also to the various technical teams and volunteers who have agreed to help us and who are essential to the realization of the festival. Help us mobilize as many people as possible to welcome you and make you live fully the experience of Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts !
-30K: A festival is always made of unexpected things - with 30 000 euros, you guarantee us to be able to create everything we have imagined for these "Rencontres d’arts". You offer us the possibility to imagine and create a complete universe, not only in terms of programming and organization but also in terms of atmosphere and scenography! And if, by chance, the tills are not empty by then, the remaining money will be kept warm to design the second edition of Feÿ - Rencontres d’arts !
