Fire ! A contemporary art exhibition

In June 2022 I won the first prize at the international BBA artist prize competition organized by the Berlin contemporary art gallery BBA Gallery. As part of this award, the gallery invites me to exhibit in September 2023. Fire ! is the title of my future solo exhibition at the BBA Gallery. It will show a selection of existing works and some new creations. All my creations are visible on this website and on Instagram and Facebook. Through my work I ask to myself some existential questions and I think about the relationship between Man and his environment. Tensions between humans and animals are also presents in my creations, more generally, I talk about tensions and hierarchies between the hunter and the hunted, the strong and the weak, the predator and the prey. I regularly exhibit my work in cultural institutions in France and abroad. I work with ceramics, flexible materials (leather, fabric), I create paintings with feathers. I build sculptures in explosive firecrackers, I create flammable frescoes… I don't limit myself to one particular medium, what regularly emerges from my work is the notion of time, like an ephemeral moment of life. Never safe, never really settled in quiet introspection. Always on the alert for a territory on borrowed time. One operation follows another, often cruel (... ) And yet, on the horizon, we sometimes see the gentle, tree-lined slopes of her Slovak native land, the serene profiles of school friends or loved ones, like shreds of lost paradise. The artist’s writing, without ever evoking the fantastic or any provocative aim, has its roots in mystery. A rather familiar mystery, which must nestle somewhere on the side of the milk jug of children’s tales; inseparable, it is true, from wolves, brigands or Bluebeards. Unless we have to think about the worst battlefields of the moment.
