<p><strong><em>THE PROJECT</em></strong></p> <p><em>I have been longing to bring my paintings together in a book, it was February and I was thinking of a little book.&nbsp;In March, Covid&nbsp;landed in our lives... I started to&nbsp;</em>look back through thirty years of my work. A long selection process, until slowly, finding a balance and the smooth running of the images. <em>The days passing, the work grew&nbsp;bigger,&nbsp; the little book became a 144-page book - a retrospective.&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>I wanted it white, white like a canvas before the first touch of paint.</em></p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/687467/9248a5bc-7d6d-42b4-8578-8296c193ed5a.png" width="100%" /></p> <p><strong>THE BOOK</strong></p> <p>Published&nbsp;by &eacute;ditions&nbsp;Empreintes &amp; Digitales, this classy and sober&nbsp;10&quot; x 11&quot; book&nbsp; comes with a contemporary cover, a&nbsp;binding with a square back sewn glued, 144 inside pages&nbsp;printed on a soft 170g satin paper. An edition of 500 copies.&nbsp; Essays are written by Paul Powell and Michel Spielmann both translated in English and French.&nbsp;More than 100&nbsp;paintings selected&nbsp;from 30 years of work, some of which are accompanied by selected words and poems.</p> <p>In the book, different periods and series rub shoulders. Here, duality breathes deeply and&nbsp;strong feminine energy dominates from one life to the next, multiple, moving and often wrapped in gentle violence. From 1989 she travels between France and the United States. First solo show in 1999 at Gallery 24 in NYC, managed at that time by&nbsp;Yossi Milo. She&rsquo;ll meet with Louise Bourgeois during her famous Sunday afternoons in her Chelsea house. In 2004 her work is represented and exhibited at the Grant Gallery in Soho. In 2005, she travels to Mexico where she sets up her art studio for three months. From 2005 to 2010, her Childhood series is represented and exhibited by the Opera Gallery in New York City and showed at the Opera Gallery in Miami.
