Ambassador of technological innovation and development space, it promotes cross-cultural mediation, community education and artistic creation."

Anyway...

What is really a PLOG ? PLOG which means "plow" in Icelandic and is a bus or mini-bus that travels trhough territories to create links between public and cultural institutions, innovative companies, associations, artists and locals.

The recipe

What do we need to make a PLOG?

- Ideas,

- 4 wheels and a little something on top,

- More ideas,

- Electrical and electronic equipment, DIY ...

- Some more ideas,

- Sound equipment,

- Still a good deal of ideas,

- Audiovisual equipment,

- Finally, a lot of ideas.

We have ideas. We have some of the equipment and can make soma parts of it through the "DIY" way. We can find the wheels but we desperatly need some money to put the bus on them.

And now ?

Oui ! Le bus et par-delà le PLOG, c'est l’itinérance, la proximité, le collectif. C'est la ducasse numérique, la fête de village, le cirque électronique et sa parade...

Yes, we can ! PLOG means homelessness, proximity, collective. It's the electronic circus...

The bus will be designed in order to offer fun workshops, expression and creativity with people from diverse backgrounds. A bus that causes meetings and exchanges around a various activities. A bus that promotes social diversity, empowers people and both urban and rural areas.

Imagined as a versatile local, the bus may include a fablab, a small cyberspace, a projection platform, a sound system, a library, an airstrip for a drone... It's a space for creation and development, cultural mediation, innovative technology and digital experiences, workshops around local heritage, traveling exhibits, collaborative art, outdoor cinema, "repair coffee"... And above all your projects, your ideas...

PLOG in four words ?

Innovation : Working with local innovative companies, the PLOG is involved in the development and emergence of technological and cultural products.

Promotion : The PLOG promotes culture and technology through development and design.

Engagement : The PLOG needs relationship with the local population through collaborative events and projects.

Sow : The PLOG helps local initiatives.

The future of PLOG ?

First, the bus… But we use the term "mobile" so everything is possible in the future. PLOG as a houseboat ? PLOG on a bicycle ? Why not ?

Why support us ?

Because through your generosity, the PLOG can create :

- Link between territories,

- Interactivity within these areas,

- A background experience for the different places and territories invested in the actions,

- Technological and cultural value,

- Sense and skills for participants and visitors.

PLOG is not only us but you. We work on your projects, your ideas in a collaborative way.

The team !

Thomas Hocedez

As a computer engineer, Thomas is specialized in electronic design and host digital workshops.

Thomas started computing when he had welded or even his computer (a ZX81!)
