Meloduende Guitars une marque Française au pays de l'oncle Sam!

Meloduende Guitars - Aluminum Guitars Handmade in FRANCE

After a decade and a few thousand hours of work and research to develop a unique project in the world, Meloduende Guitars sets out to conquer the West!

These guitars made to measure by Bertrand Dufour, entirely handmade in our beautiful Burgundy and an exclusive aluminum design, make atypical instruments, with the fabulous sound and singular, and objects that place Meloduende Guitars under fire from the ramp.

Indeed, this innovative and unique know-how is starting to make noise in the US. This is how the organizers of the world's largest musical instrument show, the NAMM SHOW in Los Angeles, asked this French artisan company to present their works in January 2019, during this mythical gathering ... the Holy Grail !

After working for some of the most talented hexagonal guitar monuments, such as Mandris by Shaka Ponk, Johnny Hallyday, Indochine, The G, Noir désir, Skip The Use, as well as many other very good and very great enthusiasts, the know how to make Meloduende Guitars has exported across the Atlantic through projects made for monsters on the international scene, such as Billy Gibbons ZZ TOP, Scott Holiday Rival Sons (Sacred Best Guitarist 2017) or the huge Keith Richards Rolling Stones. Meloduende Guitars is also present in Australia with the unmissable and the excellent John Butler Trio.

But!... yes, there is a but ...

This fabulous opportunity, invited by curator of the show Jamie Gale in person, this wonderful dream for any luthier to enter through the Great Door in the holy of holies, to expose his work among the greatest factors of world guitars, is impossible for this young company without your help!

How to explain after having aligned all these prestigious names of mythical guitarists having bought their instruments, that it is impossible for Meloduende Guitars to cover the expenses engendered by such an event ....!? This is the ransom of artistic innovation where all the time, handcrafting, recognition, research, tailor-made and project for each happy customer and where the necessary investments leave no room for any difference.

Always a tense flow, 200 per hour, still "cart", with operating costs and fixed costs, raw materials very high-end, a technicality that does not allow any error .... Yes, that turns well, but without gap. Awareness is created by quality, love and word of mouth, without marketing. And when an unexpected invitation arrives, as fabulous as it is, which would allow an international expansion, a highlighting of a high-end know-how of our country, an even greater notoriety, if not is not financially planned, it is not possible.

In addition to the costs incurred by travel and stay, to arrive in force and have models to exhibit, it is necessary in addition to meet orders in progress, create even more exceptional for the extraordinary adventure of the "Boutique Guitar Showcase". This is how Meloduende Guitars reaches its limits. So that this very promising SME can represent France and its know-how during the international fair that will take place in less than 2 months, as Uncle Sam said "WE WANT YOU!".

- Bertrand Dufour - Luthier & Manager of Meloduende

"Behind a project there are always Men & Women."

I am the man behind this project.

Training cabinetmaking art and having completed my studies with a DESS Product Design, I have kept navigating since my youngest age in multiple workshops. The first being that of my grandfather cabinetmaker and pursuing my various training and work during the holidays through multiple workshops across France and Europe. Around the age of 12, I discovered the magic of working steel, welding, forging and other machining of precision mechanics in the workshop of my father-in-law, Mr. Patrick Sachoux, whom I owe, as well as to his team. always follows me, good numbers of know-how. Passionate since my childhood by the music and musical instruments of my grandfather being also conductor of my hometown Montbard, it was obvious that it will be the manufacture of musical instruments one day!

"At the crossroads of trades ..."

I like to believe that there is no chance in what we are and what we do ...

I think it was obvious here before my eyes for a very long time. It is therefore by combining my training, doubled my different skills acquired during the past 20 years in the workshops of model makers, precision mechanics and other renowned cabinetmakers that the recipe was complete to make instruments! Not wood as the big brands do very well but aluminum! Bring a new look, a new approach to violin making combining materials of yesterday and tomorrow.

Today came the time after almost 10 years spent developing this project and the brand Meloduende Guitars from my small workshop in the back of my native Burgundy, to show and export this French know-how to the country of Uncle Sam and elsewhere in the world.

Thank you all for supporting this adventure.

Musically yours. Bertrand
