mon projet continu.... still going on...

Hello everybody,

Please don't think I forget you!

As a lot of people knows I have been back in France last March then left again to Australia last September 2016.

The 1st 6 months (from September 2015 to February 2016) allowed me to get a better understanding about the history and the wounds of this country, to observe and better understand the relation between white and black Australians and also to realize the complexity of the topic. Well, 6 months was really enthusiastic from my side to cover a such subject. I would need years in Australia for that but anyway I will do what I can to open a little window to show you Australia and Australians.

To sum up:

- From September 2015 to February 2016

I filmed interviews, drove lots of Kms, met couple technicals troubles but improved myself with the time

- From March 2016 to September 2016

watched video rushes and started a rough editing and also worked a little bit (when I say worked I mean a paid job) in order to pay my plan ticket.

-From September 2016 until now

I'm in Sydney, I did some cash hand job for short terms as waitress, camerawoman and video editor and I took advantage to live in Sydney to film couple events in order to give some action in my project.

-Tomorrow

I plan to leave Sydney in 1 or 2 weeks

Here is my road map:

- Canberra, because there is the Aboriginal tent Embassy

The Aboriginal tent Embassy is a semi-permanent assemblage claiming to represent the political rights of Aboriginal Australians. It is made up of activists, signs, and tents that reside on the lawn of Old Parliament House. It is not considered an official embassy by the Australian Government. Nowadays, no any treaty has been agreed with Aboriginals to allow Australia's colonisation and the presence of a non Aboriginals population in the country.

It's not far from Sydney so it will be a shame to don't go.

- Melbourne and Adelaïde (not sure)

but will be a shame as it's only 361km to add in my road trip. It will depend of the time I got.

- Alice Springs

I have already been there last year but I have been to shy to film a scene that happen everyday between the cops and Aboriginals and I think I can get it.

- Kimberley / Broome / Bidan community.... and maybe met other peoples, discover other communities

Get news from everybody, see how Micklo camp evolve and know the decision of the court

- Barunga

Aboriginals Festival in Barunga community from 9 to 11/06

- Laura, Cap York (or back to a city in order to sell the car)

Laura dance festival from 30/06 to 02/07

Then I will got one more month to go back in a city and try to sell the car before to come back in France.

Here is the project I got in my mind knowing that everything is still flexible.

I hope that these news will delight you because I have been a little quiet since few months

Take care of you,

cheers,

rose
