In total You were 176 people to support the book NORDIC NOIR and its surprised me everyday to see the number growing. So thank you so much for everything, and the trust you put in my work. I will go to the printer this week-end to sign the books for the international, and I will receive about 400 of them at home during the coming days... I will keep you posted about this. Dear Photography lovers, colleagues, friends, family, This is another big news that came when I was at the photojournalism festival <a target="_blank" href="http://www.visapourlimage.com/en/festival/projections">Visa pour l'image</a>... Nordic Noir has been published on the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/in-sight/wp/2017/09/08/a-photographers-five-year-odyssey-chasing-personal-demons-resulted-in-this-darkly-poetic-book/?utm_term=.71874b457e89">Washington Post</a> ! I'm thrilled of this news, because that newspaper is one of the best, and I do love their deep investigation, journalism and respect for the work of the photographers. We are now reaching 119% of support, which is going over all my expectations and I really would love to thank you all again for this incredible follow you give to my first personal project. I received the first "Dummy" of Nordic Noir from the printer Die Keure last week before going to the festival. These photos are from the book, received without stitches and cover. I wanted to share few of them with you, as I was walking around to show it the colleagues in Perpignan. My publisher and myself will receive the books (with cover and stitches!) around the 22 or the 23 of September and start sending them as soon as possible! Other things in the agenda is now finding a nice exhibition place in the USA, France, Belgium and somewhere in the North for Nordic Noir and preparing the next reportage for 2017/2018 ! You're awesome, we're over 100%!If the crowdfunding continues to break records, from 150% I will leave in the North, on an island lost on the edge of the Arctic Ocean called the Svalbard. It is completely black in winter, extremely cold and out of the only city there is perilous, the place is a resting ground for the polar bears. All that to do what? Simply film, and continue the video version of Nordic Noir. I would like to meet the Norwegians who live there, to know how it feels in such harsh climatic conditions, what to see outside the cities, camera in hand. I wanted to go for the book but I did not have the time nor the budget. So why not now?In the meantime I will take up the thread about my next two reports. It's still incredible, in such a few days!I went back to the printer during the week with my publisher André Frère, to see the first pages of the book printed to make possible adaptations of the ink. Nothing has changed! Good evening, Today I went with Gert Verbelen the graphic designer of Nordic Noir to the printer in Bruges (Belgium) to choose the paper, varnish and fix the last details of the upcoming book.
