Pâtisserie Barré meerbusch
A DELICIOUS EUROPEAN VENTURE THAT STARTS WITH YOU! Lucille & Guillaume are opening the first French-run pastry shop in Düsseldorf

Pâtisserie Barré meerbusch
Lucille & Guillaume Barré's "Café Barré" Pastry Shop, is the first French-run tea room and pastry shop to open in Düsseldorf* (Germany).
To offer our friends on the other side of the Rhine the best of French gastronomy, these two devoted perfectionists will specialize in regional French products.
After working for some of the top names in Paris and gaining valuable experience elsewhere in France and abroad, Lucille and Guillaume have finally decided to open their own shop in Germany.
This venture is the fruit of their two great loves: Germany, and French gastronomy.
Why Düsseldorf? There is a substantial demand, the city is known for its economic and cultural wealth (it is a centre for fashion, many big groups have their head offices there, and it has the largest Japanese community in the world after New York).
And the cherry on the cake: Guillaume and Lucille are perfectly at home!
Their strength is the complementary nature of their skills: Guillaume is a gifted pastry chef, while Lucille, with her beautiful smile, takes care of sales and administration.
Trilingual, Lucille will welcome customers in the classic French style, transporting them to the land of Molière, Brassens, and Bocuse...
Guillaume will be happy to share his expertise through his creations, and also through offering workshops.
What makes the "Café Barré" concept special?
Café Barré will be the only place in Düsseldorf where people of all generations can sample French gastronomy and culture through the tea room, the pastry workshops for children and adults, and themed evenings.
Customers and food lovers will be able to enjoy an authentic French experience, with music and décor creating a delightful atmosphere in which to enjoy gourmet delicacies.
The tea room will have 20 seats and will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8am to 6pm.
The workshop will welcome groups of all ages, from primary schools to retirement homes.
Themed evenings will vary with the seasons, current events and original one-off ideas.
Accompanied by a warm welcome, all the great classics of French pastry will be presented, from the chocolate éclair to the lemon tart, including of course, the famous macaroons.
The menu will change over the course of the year, ranging from a typical French breakfast to a set price lunch.
All products will be available for consumption on the premises or to take away.
Lucille and Guillaume plan to take a pastry shop and tea room in the heart of Düsseldorf. The café has huge potential, both in terms of its geographic location and the nature of the preparation and eating areas.
The "Café Barré" project will evolve in four stages:
Stage 1: purchase the business
Stage 2: add the "French touch" (decoration, music, production of high quality French dishes and pastries)
Stage 3: promote the new business (creation of an internet site, advertising)
Stage 4: launch production and "Café Barré" will be ready to open its doors!

For stage 1, the creators of "Café Barré" need your help!
Waar dient de collecte voor
The purchase of the business and all of the investment associated with setting up the concept (shop window, installation of workshop space, new interior decoration of the café, purchase of equipment) represent a total of 100 000euros.
The purpose of this fund-raising initiative is to collect 10 000euros , in order to form part of the down-payment necessary to obtain a bank loan.
Once this loan is obtained, the happy owners of the business will be able to launch "Café Barré".
If thanks to you, we exceed the target, your contributions will go towards the creation of the épicerie fin ecorner.
And soon you will also be able to follow "Café Barré" on Facebook.
"Café Barré" needs your help to be born, so a big THANK YOU in advance to everyone who contributes to the project, which means so much to its initiators!
DANKE, and see you very soon…
