The &laquo;&nbsp;ateliers&nbsp;&raquo; are small and have <strong>high standard working conditions</strong>. These materials are the best in order to ensure comfort, flexibility and durability.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The design and creation of a Tiag&#39;</strong></p> <hr /> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/696665/fe796e18-f0b2-4c04-923c-a670ddc60b52.png" /></p> <p>Na-Wak&rsquo;s shoe collections are conceived by Adrienne, our fantastic <strong>fashion designer</strong> with a long track record in the most exclusive &ldquo;maisons de mode parisiennes&rdquo;.&nbsp; We are so lucky to work with her, she is a vital asset for us bringing all her <strong>technical and esthetical skills</strong> to the table.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/696666/1fc4470c-7fba-4e74-b821-840a62a2d7ef.png" /></p> <p>Na-Wak&rsquo;s business model is based on the premise that all its processes must be sustainable and responsible.</p> <p>The leather we use is <strong>noble and ecological</strong> at the same time.</p> <p>Our leather comes from animals raised for the meatpacking industry, their skin (which otherwise would be thrown away) is used and transformed by the tanners. It is a leather with a velvety soft touch, which acquires a magnificent patina over time and can be cleaned and recycled.</p> <p>We carefully select our <strong>European suppliers</strong> to ensure the highest environmental and consumer protection.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/696667/b90a2f1a-6216-40a5-977e-5e7eae27ff8b.png" /></p> <p>Creation at NA-Wak relies on the extraordinary &laquo;&nbsp;savoir faire&nbsp;&raquo; of Portuguese artisans whose <strong>passion</strong>, and exceptional <strong>craft </strong>has been inherited over generations. <strong>Portugal</strong> is a country with extremely <strong>high skilled artisans</strong> in the shoe-making industry and is close enough to Paris to shorten our distribution channel. More specifically, the Tiag&rsquo; is created in Sao Joao da Madeira, near Porto.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We believe that the right of every person to work on respectful and fair terms is the most basic form of empowerment, and a necessary condition for creative capacity to flourish. We only work with <strong>small family owned ateliers</strong> with <strong>working conditions that respect and enhance </strong>the potential of each person.</p> <p><strong>A closer look of the Tiag&#39;</strong></p> <hr /> <p>The <strong>exceptional quality</strong> of a pair of boots relies mostly on its <strong>details</strong>: the colour, the type of leather, the heel and the upper height etc. The Tiag&rsquo;s creation took several months of back- and- forths between our office and the prototype workshop. Long fitting sessions came afterwards with <strong>real</strong> (very demanding) <strong>children</strong>. And finally, we gave birth to a pair of boots that can be considered &ldquo;<strong>Boh&egrave;me chic</strong>&rdquo; as well as <strong>comfy</strong>.
