Remember that in the past, we often thought that Nature films were devoid of author vision and creative work.</p> <p>Although we all remember urging our children and friends to watch this movie about that particular species, or about some remote and wild places on the planet, we did it lightly, for the beauty of the images, with the certainty that they constituted an invitation to travel to a supposedly immortal and often accessible nature. This time is over !</p> <p>The collapse of biodiversity is no longer the fantasies of some scientists too far ahead of their time to be taken seriously. Today it is everyone&#39;s business. It is our history and the future of our children that we are talking about. Our responsibility as producers, beyond this terrifying fact, is to say loud and clear that hope is allowed, and to show that there are solutions that can reverse the curve of destiny.</p> <p>This film proposes a vision of a different ecology, a message of hope for the future of our planet.</p> <p>As a producer, I am deeply convinced that the challenge is no longer to know if it is appropriate to make films about nature and its wonders or if this ecosystem has already been the subject of such or such program, but to measure how many birds, how many Jaguars, how many insects these films will save, and how many humans can tell their children : &laquo; Yes! You have a future! &raquo;</p> <p>&quot;Proyecto Iber&aacute;&quot; is not just another film about nature, people and biodiversity. It is a breath of fresh air.</p> <p>This film must resonate like the sound of the horn so that, like Kristin McDivitt Tompkins, we are aware that we can contribute to build our own future.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/626497/PI_image_chevaux-1572037894.png" width="100%" /></p> <p>In the late 90s, Kristine and Douglas Tompkins, former CEO of &laquo; Patagonia &raquo; and founder of &laquo; Esprit &raquo; and&laquo; the North Face &raquo;, decided to leave the textile industry and engage in environmental protection.</p> <p>In the Corrientes province, northeast of Argentina, they bought several over-exploited properties in order to carry out large-scale rewilding.</p> <p>Through their foundation, they have funded numerous programs aimed at involving local populations in the protection of nature. They also initiated the reintroduction of several locally extinct species such as the jaguar or the giant anteater.</p> <p>These unprecedented and totally unselfish actions occur in Argentina for the first time in its history.</p> <p>Today Douglas is gone, but Kristine continues to fight for their cause.
