His horn, which is his strength is also, alas, what leads him to his loss.</p> <p>It is sought after and sold at a high price, making it a coveted product and thus putting the species at risk in the face of the greed of certain individuals willing to kill for its value.</p> <blockquote> <p>The current status of the rhinoceros</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Black Rhinoceros: Critically Endangered (IUCN), listed in CITES Appendix I&quot; (source WWF)</p> <p>White Rhinoceros: Near Threatened (IUCN), listed in Appendix II of CITES</p> </blockquote> <p>So we must take action to protect this species.</p> <p>To do this many actors get engaged.</p> <h2 style="text-align:center"><strong>And we too, on our scale, can act.</strong></h2> <hr /> <p>This is why, as part of our&nbsp;safari in South Africa, we want to contribute to the conservation and protection of biodiversity, and in particular of this species.</p> <p>More specifically, we want to fund the identification of a rhinoceros to ensure a peaceful life away from any risk of poaching.</p> <p><strong>Where is it going?</strong><br /> <br /> The action will take place in the Thanda Safari Reserve in the KwaZulu-Natal region.</p> <p>This private reserve is engaged in many conservation actions including the protection of black rhinos.</p> <h2><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/558587/TGD026-Game-Drive-Photo-by-Christian-Sperka-1200x760-1544005869.jpg" width="100%" /></h2> <p>Thus, the goal is to search, find, identify and protect one of the rhinos in the reserve.</p> <p><strong>When is it happening?</strong><br /> <br /> This operation that takes half a day is scheduled between&nbsp;February&nbsp;21st and 23th 2019 (depending on the weather in particular).</p> <p>It will take place in the early morning to avoid the heat of the day.</p> <p><strong>How&#39;s it going ?</strong><br /> The first step is to go in search of an unidentified rhino.
