Hiiiiii it's me. Cybele. I am a young ceramic artist and mom living in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood (Montréal, Quebec, Canada). After obtaining my diploma in arts and crafts, I worked for a year in a studio reserved for Bonsecours Ceramic Center graduates. I now need to move and continue my ceramic practice elsewhere!</p><p>***</p><p><strong>WHAT</strong>? In order to continue my work as a ceramist and to consider my practice in a more sustainable way, I will move my studio at home. This will allow me to get more involved in my community, to simplify my life as a young mother and reduce my costs as much as possible so I can keep creating beautiful human objects. </p><p>***</p><p><strong>HOW</strong>? To do this, I have to make major renovations that will begin in July. In addition to that, I also need to acquire basic studio equipments (Ceramic Kiln, pottery wheel, slab roller, etc.). All this represents the biggest investment of my life so I thought starting a crowdfunding campaign could help me.</p><p>****</p><p><strong>Functional art is the most democratic way to bring art home. Each cup is thrown on the potter's wheel and free hand painted by Cybele. It's fired 3 times in the ceramic kiln. The mug does not go in the microwave because of the real gold on it. This model is exclusive to the crowdfunding campaign. Each person will be contacted at the end of the campaign to know the chosen model.
