Folks,

We're bringing you the teaser trailer for our short film, The Agony of Obsolescence. We're slowly starting to submit the film to festivals around the world and will keep you posted on potential screenings. For now, we hope that you like the sneak peak.

Regards,

Watch trailer here:

http://www.meysammotazedi.com/the-agony-of-obsolescence/

Hi folks,

Wanted to bring you a quick update and let you know that we've been hard at work planning the filming for our short film "Full Circle" which will be shot in Vancouver towards the end of April.

We intend to use the short film as a calling card for Until The Quiet Comes since it conveys the general mood and tone of the film and deals with the same subject matter.

Most of the creative crew involved in the making of Full Circle will also be involved in the making of our feature film; so, more than just a short film project, this is a full-scale dress rehearsal and a surefire way to get the ball rolling on the feature.

We will be bringing you guys more updates as we get closer to production dates and will have a private online screener set up for all you guys to view the film.

Onwards and upwards!

Dear friends,

As we inch closer towards the final stages in the making of our short film, The Agony of Obsolescence, and with it, complete a giant step forward towards realizing the ultimate goal of making our feature film, we feel it's important to say thank you, again. None of this would've been possible without your generous support and encouragement. None.

Our end goal is to get the feature project off the ground, but for that to happen we will first need a strong 'proof of concept' to present to potential funders and producers. It is precisely for this reason that we decided to film The Agony of Obsolescence. We're confident it'll serve as a strong calling-card for the project and are looking forward to sharing the news on its impending journey through the festival circuit very soon. Wish us luck!

For news on both projects visit: https://m.facebook.com/theagonyof

Much love,

Meysam

Folks,
We had a blast filming the short film(now called, The Agony of Obsolescence) that's to be used as 'proof of concept' for our feature film project and are now officially into the post-production stage.
For more updates and to keep up with news on our progress check out the link below:

https://m.facebook.com/theagonyof

We did it folks! Our crowdfunding campaign was a resounding success. We not only managed to reach our initial goal, but were able to exceed it by a significant margin; €466 to be exact. Breathtaking support, indeed. Thank you!

IMMEDIATE STEPS:

The funds raised will be used as a launch pad towards pre-production. We will take the next month to regroup and will then begin the development stage in Vancouver as early as February. By the time April rolls around, we will have assembled most of our creative crew and will then shift our attention to casting.

APPROACH:

One possibility being discussed is that of shooting a 10-20 min adaptation of the screenplay as a standalone short film. The idea is to producer a well-crafted film that would help in attracting interest and support from bigger production companies; eventually parlaying it into a full-fledged feature production and shooting the film on a solid budget as opposed to the shoestring one currently envisaged.

Also being considered, is the idea of filming the story in 10-20 minute segments over a year. Why? Tackling the film in small chunks makes it a lot more manageable as well as gives us the chance(in between shoots)to present our footage to potential funders/producers in hopes of winning their support with the remainder of the shoot.

Nothing's been decided on yet; in fact all is up for deliberation. You will be kept informed of our decision once we have a better idea as to which approach is the most prudent.

***

From the very beginning our motto has been one of building a community around our film. To gradually build an audience around, not only the project(the final product, the film), but also the process of making the film. In keeping with that motto, I have decided to keep a video journal of the entire process and will do my best to bring you news and updates on our progress as often as humanly possible.

Again, humbled to have been given so much support and encouragement over the past two months and eternally grateful to you all.

We are only 12 days into our campaign and have already reached 25% of our goal! This has been made possible by the support and generous contributions of our wonderful bankers who came forward with the early push and showed confidence in our project. Now, let's make it 50% in the next 12 days!

Europe Refresh in Brussels came to an end today so we're on our way to Amsterdam and from there to Paris and the second stage of the Campaign. Stay tuned for more news.
